A (mostly) beautiful account of how the Dark Crystal was made, complete with written word, photos and additional material attached to the pages such as design briefs and call sheets.A truly incredible and exhaustive book, HOWEVER!! This is a truly petty criticism, but I know there will be people out there on my wave length: The whole book seems to be written in the Times New Roman font, or at least some other default Windows fault. This unintentionally gives the impression that the whole book was written by a High School student in Microsoft Word. Yes, a petty criticism. But I was always taught to change from the default font to demonstrate that you had some basic presentational skills. It's crazy to me they never bothered for this.

Superbly researched and written by a die hard fan. If you only buy one book based on a film then this is the one to buy, perfect from start to finish. this is now the book that all other making off books should be measured against. Don't think about buying this book just buy it you won't be disappointed.

a nice book, full of nice little fun extra goodies......although i would have preferred these to be in a folder rather than glued directly on the pages.lots of nice info and pictures all about the movie and its production.would have like more of the mythos and extended universe but its ultimately about just the movie.
