Bought this to use on my motorbike after stripping back end out. I wanted something simple and accurate and although there are cheaper spring type tools out there they involve checking, adjusting to rechecking etc. I read a previous review that said it's not compatible with a VN900, but was sure it would fit so took a gamble. The pic I've uploaded shows it fitted and the position I fitted it in, I thought it would be useful to others to see where it will go, it's fairly central from front to back pulleys. It was a doddle to set up, instructions were clear. Within a few mins it was removed and job done. My only criticism is the numbers do not relate to mm, eg setting 1 is 5-7 mm from memory, I may be wrong but you get the idea. But.. Kawasaki say around 1.5-4.5 mm is correct for this bike, so it doesn't go that low. But as most people Inc me think that's a tad tight the no 1 setting was in my eyes adequate, but be aware. The result was accurate to what the instructions said. Worth a shot if you're under confident and after one adjustment it's paid for itself!

There is nowhere clear underneath the bike or towards sprockets clear enough to fit the belt monkey.Its a shame as it looks and feels well made.It still gets top marks for ease of use in setting the tension, its just incompatible with my bike.
