It's a little scratchy, if I brush too hard (which I tend to do), but my hair seems healthier than when I used a wooden-bristle brush.

Purchased for my 83 year old mother on blood thinners whom now has very fine hair and a tender scalp. The bristles on this brush are gentle enough on her painfully tender scalp and fragile thin skin that she doesn't since or complain about any discomfort while having her hair brushed. This brush is well made with a sturdy handle and has held up well for months with consistent use. It is not very effective at getting tangles out, but it is great for styling and creates a sleek look. Comfortable to use and a good weight!
