Sport X20 by Anker Noise Cancelling Workout Earbuds, Ear Hooks

I've been a longtime fan of Soundcore and have owned previous models, so I had high expectations going in — and the Sport X20 delivers. The sound quality is excellent, and the ear hooks make a huge difference for stability during movement. I sweat a lot during workouts and sports, and these stay in place without any issue. I can barely even notice I have them on, which says a lot about how secure and comfortable the fit is. Battery life is incredible, and the charging case is great too — compact and reliable. I also really love the Soundcore app; the level of customization for sound and settings is fantastic. Noise cancelling is impressive, and the wind reduction feature is a great addition for outdoor workouts or runs. Honestly, why spend a fortune on expensive name brands when you can get audio quality this close for a fraction of the price? You'd really have to be an audiophile sitting there critically listening to notice much of a difference at all. Overall, this is another excellent pair from Soundcore. Great sound, battery, customization, and noise cancelling make this a strong buy.

I've tried many wireless earbuds over the years, and these are easily among the best I've owned. The adjustable ear hooks provide a secure and comfortable fit, making them perfect for running, gym workouts, and any other activity where regular earbuds tend to fall out. The sound quality is excellent, with deep bass, clear vocals, and plenty of volume. The noise cancellation works surprisingly well, helping me stay focused during workouts and blocking out distractions in busy environments. One of my favorite features is the battery life. I can use them for several days before needing to recharge, which is incredibly convenient. They are also lightweight and comfortable enough to wear for extended periods without any discomfort. The IP68 waterproof rating is another huge plus. Whether you're sweating during an intense workout or caught in the rain, these earbuds handle it without any issues. Overall, Anker has done an outstanding job with the Sport X20. They combine great sound, comfort, durability, and battery life in a package that is perfect for active users. Well, it has been an adventure. For the money, the X20 Sport is the first wireless IEM to truly wow me after trying several other highly regarded options under $100, including the A40 and Liberty 4NC. These fit very comfortably and securely, I have yet to have them fall out of my ears. I bought them for active outdoor use. I was first concerned they would be awkward while wearing glasses, but it didn't take long to know this wasn't a concern at all. They fit my ears most securely with the hook cradled inside my outer ear lobe edge, not over the front of the ear as it is commonly shown in pictures. Works fantastic this way for my ears; they aren't going anywhere! I also use them over the ear lobe for casual listening; still no issue using with glasses, and they fit so well it's like they are not there at all. These are very light IEMs. ANC works great too; not as well as others I have tried, but still very respectable and much appreciated. The A40 buds were fantastic... at first. I loved their compact form factor and overall sound signature. I actually preferred them over the Liberty 4NC. However, they had persistent connectivity issues/pauses while music was playing. I REALLY wanted to keep them, but this ended up being too annoying and eventually a deal-breaker. They also fell out of my ears more than once while working, so this was also discouraging. The more expensive and highly regarded Liberty 4NC's also had impressive sound quality and were feature packed, even had LDAC like the A40's for better sound. But the stem design was clunky, and I just could not get them to fit right, no matter what I tried. The touch sensitive controls were also annoying to use at times, but not a big deal. But I could never get them to fit right into my ears without the stems being in an awkward position. Note: I did not try using different earbud tips, this may have made a difference, but I still returned them as again, they just did not fit securely enough for active outdoor/physical work. Enter the X20 Sport. Well then. In retrospect, I really should have just ordered these first before the A40 and 4NC, considering they are specifically made for active use. However, I was sold on the others based on all the positive YouTube reviews and customer ratings, so I tried those first. I wanted great sound quality, comfort, and overall usability while prioritizing audio performance. Sound quality is on par if not better than with the A40s in my opinion, these can be some very respectable musical earbuds with the proper EQ settings and even more so with upgraded tips. As others mention, these come with a very bass/mid-bass heavy sound, but can get tamed (some) by adjusting the app EQ. They fit fantastic, sound fantastic, perform fantastic for the money. These are definitely keepers, they are exactly what I was wanting. I wouldn't call these "audiophile" but that's not the point; any Bluetooth IEM will not sound as good as wired. But these, at least for me, provide a very respectable listening experience in situations where regular wired IEMs just can't be used. The included silicone tips are... ok... but I would HIGHLY recommend upgrading them for better fit and sound. Foam tips are fantastic for noise isolation/ANC and secure fit. But for the best sound quality, comfort, overall ANC effectiveness, I do prefer well regarded premium silicone replacements. There are TONS of earbud tips to choose from; just be sure to find those that will not only fit the X20 but also fit its charging case if that is a big priority. Spinfit W1's, for example, will fit on the X20s and sound AMAZING to me; they eliminate the muddy/boomy sound verses stock tips and improve the audio quality significantly. They also are amongst the most comfortable tips I have tried. But you'll need to take them off the earbuds every time you put them back into the charging case. Some people will I'm sure dislike this, but the sound performance improvement and comfortable fit is very well worth the extra effort IMO. If you are looking for the absolute best option for sound quality and comfort, try Divinus Velvet tips (both wide bore and standard). Not only are they the best I've tried on the X20 for overall sound quality, they also can fit into the charging case using the smaller sizes. Wide bore tips tend to accentuate treble and clarity, the regular to narrow-bore tips tend to enhance bass frequencies more. JVC Spiral Dot++ (and its previous variants) are also easy recommendations. These do a fantastic job at smoothing the sound profile throughout all frequencies, making for a very smooth, easy to listen to experience for longer listening sessions. Like the Velvets, these are very comfortable as well. There are plenty of other tips I haven't mentioned or haven't tried. For example, I have yet to try the infamous Final Type-E. Honestly, this is my very first experience with wireless IEMs in general, let alone IEM tip rolling. But without a doubt, just a simple tip swap can make a massive difference in the IEM sound experience and fit/comfort. My advice when purchasing tips is to first get a multi-size pack if at all possible. Tip sizes actually vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so it is not always reliable to just order the size that fits best. These are great wireless earbuds for anyone who leads an active lifestyle and also enjoys great sound quality and ANC benefits. I use these daily, indoors and out. Highly recommended. NOTE: As with all wireless IEMs, these have a limited lifespan which is ultimately determined by the battery health. To get the most out of your wireless IEMs, only charge them when needed. Good advice is to NOT store them in the charging case, instead try to keep the battery power around 60-80% or lower while in use. If wanting a full charge, let the get to 100% and then remove them from the charging case. Keep them stored outside the case in between listening sessions. This will help to extend the life of the lithium batteries in that are in the IEMs. They are not replaceable. I'll continue to update as I feel needed, I hope this information helps anyone that is considering these. I wouldn't write such a long, detailed review if I wasn't truly pleased. I was not paid or compensated by anyone, just my honest review and opinions.

I stand by the overall thoughts in my initial review. These are very good earbuds for the purpose of using at the gym and running etc. After 2 months, my left earbud simply stopped working. I worked with Anker support and tried a few things including a firmware upgrade. Surprisingly, the left bud worked one more time but then did not anymore. In the end, Anker sent me a new pair that arrived overnight!!! I don't know where they were shipped from and it is possible it is close to my home. No drama needed. They stood by their product. Nonetheless, I was fully impressed. I have a few different Anker items and I nearly put the brand on the back burner. However, they totally redeemed themselves with me. I am really hoping my new set actually holds up for the coming years. I really like these buds for the purposes that I use them for. Original review ---------------------- These buds have the 2 essential characteristics of a good sport/workout set of buds. First, they have physical buttons, which is a must for me. If you have ever run for a bunch of miles and have sweaty hands and then use a touch sensitive volume up control, you might appreciate this as I do. Nothing worse than sweat staying on the control and the volume just continuously raisin until you are forced to pull out the buds. Second, they have ear loops to keep them in place. Another bit of experience from running or working out when they begin to fall out because your ear is getting sweaty and you are trying to dry your ear and the bud tips so they stay in. Other than the basics I look for, these sound plenty fine and I am happy with them. The equalizer is really to dial in the sound you are looking for, but they have plenty of presets you can choose from. The software is well designed and easy to work with. No problems connecting at all. Though this set is for working out, I did check the latency with my laptop. For my use, the latency of these buds was okay with the laptop. It was not fantastic and there was some very slight noticeable delay in the lip syncing, but in a pinch I could live with these, but they would not be a primary device for that purpose. Lastly, the price is overall fair for the overall quality of the buds. However, a couple of comments and/or things I am not fond of. Despite having physical buttons, I have a hard time indexing where they are. I know where they are, but when I put my finger on them It does not feel like a button is there. I also have big fingers, so I might just have an issue most others don't. I am not sure. I would have preferred them on the outside of the bud where the logo is like many other brands. Also related to the buttons and software, especially on my right bud, when you set something to the double button click (like next track), there is not double click tolerance. For me, I have to have the perfect rhythm to get the double clicks to work. It can't be click click or click pause pause click. It has to be a perfect click pause click. Otherwise it most often just pause the music and I am wondering if it is going to the next track. This is probably my biggest gripe with these buds and it is annoying. I am hoping that they will fix this tolerance in an update or that I innately know the pattern with practice. My other gripe is that the cycling of the ANC, Normal and Transparency modes seems to only be allowed with the long press action (could be double click too, but I did not check that). Why is that? So my preferred set up which is from using other buds in the past is this (L bud = Left bud, R bud = Right bud) Single click (R bud) - Pause/play Double click (L bud) - Replay song (previous track) Double click (R bud) - Next song Long Press (L bud) - Volume down (wish press to hold would keep lowering, but that is another issue) Long Press (R bud) - Volume up Why can't I use the Single click (L bud) to cycle through the ANC, Normal and Transparency?????? I would really like the option to use those features on the fly. However, what do I use for volume then? I like the ability to replay a song and since I have hundreds, every now and then I want to hear one again since it might not come up for a long time. Do I remove the next track? That stinks because sometimes you are not in the mood for a particular song at that time. I could stagger the controls and make the previous track the Single click (L bud), Volume down double click (L bud) and then use the mode switcher for long press L Bud, but that really messes me up just thinking that the left and right controls are not lining up well. So I don't know why the set it up like that and I hope that they would fix that too. It is just sad to not use that functionality that could be useful because I don't want to give up other controls that I think are just a little more needed. These should be 5 star buds and in most respects they are. I can live with the button placement and I will get used to that. However, the double click timing bug (yes it is a bug to me) and the inability to 100% arrange the controls as I want them and lose functionality that I could use, only makes these truly a 4 star product.

When I first got these, they were great. Had a phenomenal experience with a cheaper Anker model before these, couldn't find anything quite as good for the price after trying multiple headphone brands, decided to get these and was immediately impressed. People could hear me very clearly on phone calls. The sound quality for music is fantastic, they charge super fast, they stay in my ear quite well, the active noise cancelling is very well done... All in all, these were absolutely amazing for the price. They have a LOT going for them. Main issues now come from longevity problems, which is why I do not give it the 5 stars I want to give. I was hoping to get a solid couple of years out of these... The left head piece, which I use constantly throughout my work days, for some reason won't dock properly in the case on a regular basis, causing it to not only not charge, but to remain connected to my phone. I'll push it in, and it just won't stay fully seated at times on the charging points. It has gotten to the point where it simply won't charge more than half the time. Cleaning the charging points lightly to clear grime or debris does not help. The right headphone, despite being used relatively infrequently compared to the left, is dropping connection audio repeatedly now over the last two days to the point of being practically unusable. I had a cheaper Anker headset that went through much more stress and lasted nearly two years before it started having issues, so I am really surprised and disappointed to see these more expensive ones fail. I really like all the features - the over the ear design they have is one of the most comfortable I have ever worn, and every other feature about them is deeply impressive. I want to buy another set to replace them, but now I'm worried it'll just break in 6 months again.

These are amazing for me. Fit great, comfortable, the noise cancelation and wind cancelation is outstanding. I can hear it activate / kick in and I almost can't hear the mower I operate and the 3ngine is right behind me. All I hear is music, they're also quite loud., I don't even have the volume up super high either. I also got about 3 days out of them fully charged before I needed to charge them. I also love the customization options in the app. I'm also impressed with how they stay put in/on my ears. I get bounced around alot on the mower from the terrain, and they don't move at all. I have tried this type before and one kept falling out and they sounded terrible, but that is not the case at all with these. Very impressed and pleased with these and will probably be getting my fiancé a pair as well.

Quick update: I did receive an email from Anker support after I submitted the warranty and the rep responded with a list of things for me to try that I have already tried multiple times. They then told me I need to submit a video or picture of the earbuds not working to receive a warranty replacement. Sigh.... I gave them a very long, very detailed response about what I have tried, where I got the info to try the things I tried and explained that the things I tried worked at first, then worked a little, then didn't work at all. I did go ahead and do another factory reset and repairing and it worked. Again. Yes. The earbuds are both working again but I also asked them what I should do when the left earbud fails again because it keeps doing it. I asked if I would need to resubmit everything again? I also took pictures of my earbuds and the charging case inside the protective case I got when I originally ordered the buds and I made sure I showed the white light on the charging case lit up so they could see how great a condition they are in and that they power on. I told them that all I can do is take a pictute of the buds as I don't see how it's possible to take a picture or video of the earbud not working. I asked if there was anything they can do or do I need to reach out again when the problem ultimately arises again. They informed me they are sending me a warranty replacement, I believe the time frame is within 7 days and to jist keep these. With that said, I have read that the replacements have the same issue, some say it's the left, others say it's the right so even though I am getting a replacement, I still can not recommend these. I do love Anker products though so again, my suggestion is if you are not strictly looking for buds, try their headphones. I have both versions of their Q30's (the original with wired, powered NC and the rereleased model that no longer has that feature) and I love them, especially for the price. I also almost loved their Liberty 3 buds, the sound was outstanding but I returned them due to the fit and bought the original Liberty 4 buds and they have been fantastic. I was relying on them making an equally nice sounding and reliable set of hooked earbuds but sadly, these have proven not to be it, atleast for me. With all that said I will upgrade my star rating to 2 from 1 as I am getting a free warranty replacement and if I have no trouble with them I will update my rating higher but as of now, it's 2 stars. These worked perfectly until last week. Out of the blue the left earbud got quiet. You could hear but the volume was low. I googled a fix which took me to a reddit post suggesting people suck on the earbud and that worked. To be clear, I do not for a second think this was an "earwax build up issue". My ears are clean, I keep my buds clean, and I only use these to watch tv. When not in use they are in the case which sits by the tv on a media stand in my living room. Well a few days later the sound wasn't working in the left bud at all when I went to use the earbuds. Google took me to another Reddit post of people dealing with this issue and as suggested I unpaired and factory reset the earbuds and that worked. Sound was great in both buds once again. Well they were working fine yesterday but I went to use them today and again the left earbud has no sound. I connected with the app, saw both buds have full battery and did another factory reset and repaired to my tv and still no sound. I paired just to my phone and no sound. I paired just to the tv and no sound. Again, this issue is only with the left earbud, the right ine has worked perfectly since day one. Fyi though, one thing I experienced when I got these is that while I can pair two devices at once, if I am paired to my phone and trying to watch tv with these, phone notifications cause sound disruptions when watching tv so I only ever kept these paired to the tv until I had to try and fix these sudden left earbud sound issues. Now I simply can't get the left earbud to produce any sound even when doing a factory reset. So I decided to submit a warranty replacement. What I discovered is if you try to use the app, which is quick if you register your earbuds when you get them in the app, all the info is there except the app requires permission to access your phone's storage when you go to upload your proof of purchase. I took a screen shot of my order page but when I went to upload it, the app gave an error message about sd card permission being denied and the error pop up directs you to phone settings. Well when you go to grant permission in your phone's app settings, the app doesn't have an option for gallery access, it only has an option for camera access. I had to pull the order page up on another phone and take a picture of that screen to upload proof in the app to submit a warranty "the easy way." Well I got worried they would not accept that picture of another devices screen as proof so I went to submit the warranty through the website and while the website does allow you to access the phone's gallery, it also requires you to manually fill in more info that the app already has saved. So if you need to submit a warranty and you want to upload a screenshot from your phone gallery, it seems atleast on android you need to use the Anker website and you need to manually enter the product name, model, and product seriel number which I could only provide because I had registered my earbuds in the app and was able to see it in there. It isn't on the earbuds (correction, the sn# is on the inside of the charhing case at the hinge area) and I no longer had the box. I tell ya, I have 2 Anker heaphones, have owned and used probably 6 or 7 pairs of buds and many rechargeable powerbanks without issue so I've never had to use the warranty so I don't know if it has always been this frustrating or what but it feels like they deliberately make it difficult. I did finally get the warranty request submitted but the irritation, omg. Ultimately, I can not recommend these at this point because I was reading that the replacements also have the same issue and I have not spoken to anyone about my warranty request as I just submitted it so I can't say how well the customer service experience will be but given what I'm dealing with at the moment and reading the replacements have the same issues, I suggest avoiding these entirely. I haven't tried their latest Liberty optiond but the sound is better on my original Liberty 4 earbuds and I have had absolutely zero sound or connection issues with those. My suggestion would be is that unless you must have earhooks, go with The Liberty 4 originals or one of the more recently released Liberty models.

I got these earbuds because of some reviews I had read. I was skeptical and didn’t really have high expectations for them. I was very impressed with them once I got them setup the way I wanted. I’ll break down what I was looking for, what it offered, and the quality. Buttons/controls: I hate touch sensor earbuds. I work at the Post Office and have a business/walking route that has 6mi of walking every day. I get sweaty. I throw sopping wet towels soaked in ice water on my head to keep cool. Touch sensor anything is a nightmare. It has a tactile button on each earbud. These controls can be customized how you like. I chose to have volume up/down for 1 click, next/previous track for the double click, and pause/play for the long hold. The app has a lot of different options to set it up exactly how you want. Waterproofing: like I said above, I sweat and dump ice water in my head. I need waterproof and this seems like it’s what I’m looking for IPX6 waterproof rating is only slightly less than my JBL Flip 5 and it’s taken a tumble into the river. It’s still working to this day. I’ll update this post if the waterproofing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Fit/feel: I wore them all day today and they’re extremely comfortable. They have different size tips to fit your ear canal. It was a little weird getting use to putting them in compared to the regular ones you just put in your ear. This is a loop that goes over the top of your ear to help stabilize them while you work out or walk your route. Setup and connectivity: The setup took a little bit to get through, but it was simple and straightforward. Getting it synced with my phone was a breeze. The app helped me setup the earbuds and get them operating how I like them. Houses that interfered with past earbuds didn’t even cause the soundcores to skip a beat today. I had no sync issues between the earbuds, and no disconnects. Volume and sounds quality: I’ve had Bose, Sony, Raycon, and just about any other brand out there. The sound quality is great. I would put it on par with the Bose quiet comforts (gen 1). The bass is actually a little bit on the heavy side. You can change EQ settings on the phone, or customize the EQ through the app to get the perfect sound. The noise cancelling actually does really well, even in my loud mail truck. It has normal mode that doesn’t do anything to cancel or embellish sound. The full transparency mode allows you to hear your surrounding much better while listening to your music or whatever. All three modes seems to do really well. No issues at all with them. Call Quality: I did make a couple calls today. I could hear fine. The person I was on the phone with didn’t have any issues hearing me. You cannot change the controls for answering/disconnecting calls. Not that you really need to, just FYI. Battery Life: after listening to a mix of music and podcasts for 3 hours, I barely made a dent in the earbuds battery. I haven’t had a chance to run them all the way down yet, but based on what I saw the battery life seems pretty solid. The charging case is supposed to get up to 48hrs. Based on the consumption rate I saw today, that does seem accurate. Time will tell on that. Honestly, I can’t think of anything that I can complain about. It’s an $80 earbud, that is waterproof, tactile buttons, and made for excessive movement. The sound quality out of the box is great and you can customize it even further. It has every single option I was looking for, it gives you way more than that, and then does it really well. I’m a big fan so far.

Muito bom! Isola bastante, mas não faz milagre. A qualidade do som é ótima! E eu sou bem chato quanto a isso. No primeiro uso ficou bonitinho bem vedado, mas acho que a borracha dá uma trabalhadinha, talvez eu precise aumentar o diminuir de tamanho, vem várias junto. Mas só de saber que o fone não vai cair da orelha por nada, dá uma paz no coração. A duração da bateria tá ótima... Fiz uma carga quando chegou, já corri várias vezes 15 min no fim do treino e ainda não precisei carregar de novo. Recomendo! Pare de sofrer com os fones falsifiks

I recently replaced my old over-ear gym headphones with these, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase! The ear hooks ("arms") keep them securely in place, even during vigorous workouts. The sound quality is top-notch—though it might be a bit bass-heavy for some tastes. A great bonus is the companion app, which lets you switch between modes. The noise cancellation works brilliantly, effectively blocking out ambient gym noise.

Tried Sony xm5 and it was clogging my ears, seinheisser momentum 4 was getting hot in the ear and sweat was pouring and sound from both of the above was good but not satisfactory may be because of the pressure on the ears. So decided to try soundcore ear clip ( open earbuds). The sound was very good in quiet places but otherwise you can't hear things properly even if a car pass by. So tried galaxy buds pro 3. Sound was great, calls good but you have to pinch the stem to control audio and on top the ear buds won't stay securely in the ears. So decided to try liberty buds from soundcore because many reviewers pointed that the fins provided keeps the earbuds secure and ANC is good. It's true that the ANC is very good, sound fantastic but fins were not helping. It was very bad and I thought the buds will fall off any time. Frustrated, I decided to go for proper ANC earbuds with hook at reasonable cost and that is when I came across soundcore sport X20. Received them today and they are perfect earbuds which I have been searching for the last few months. Soundcore sport X20 is secure, ANC is fantastic, music and podcasts very very good to listen and been wearing it for few hours the battery drain is minimal. And to cap it all, the price is incredible and the product is water and dust proof. I don't know the longevity though but I have used power bank by anker and they are solid so I assume that this product will last. Fyi, my Bose qcII is running 8th year and only now I detect some minor issues in the sound so I hope soundcore will do the same. This product is everyone and not just for sports

Zum Produkt: Ich habe mir die Kopfhörer geholt, da ich vorher immer nur günstige Bluetooth Kopfhörer geholt hatte und dort oftmals Probleme mit der Qualität der Produkte hatte. Bei diesen Kopfhörern war dies jedoch anders. Oftmals kriege ich von ANC Kopfschmerzen, dass ist bei diesen jedoch nicht der Fall, trotz ausgiebiger Verwendung. Ich finde sie sehr bequem und das Case passt auch in jede meiner (Frauen-)Hosentaschen. Auch den Ton finde ich gut und sauber, selbst für Klassik musik, wo andere Kopfhörer bei mir in der Vergangenheit probleme gezeigt haben. Beim Fahrradfahren kann ich sie außerdem auch Gefahrenlos verwenden, da ich im Transparentenmodus weiterhin den ganzen Verkehr hören kann. Die einzige Hürde die ich gefunden habe ist, dass Leute mich bei Anrufen über das Mikrofon schlecht verstehen, da ich jedoch nicht viel mit ihnen telefoniere und sie nicht dafür geholt habe, werte ich das nicht in dieser Rezession, merke es jedoch an. Ich hatte mein erstes Paar vor einigen Monaten bestellt, leider hatte hierbei die Akku kapazität jedoch ungewöhnlich schnell nachgelassen. Der linke Kopfhörer ist dann eines Tages ohne voranzeichen kaputt gegangen. Zum Kundensupport: Darauf hin habe ich den Kundensupport angeschrieben und über das Problem informiert. Mir wurden mögliche Lösungen vorgeschlagen um die Probleme zu beheben, das hat jedoch nicht geholfen und ich habe schnell neue Kopfhörer erhalten. Sollte sich etwas an meiner Meinung ändern, werde ich die Review entsprechend bearbeiten. Aktueller Stand: 24.07.2026
