Well-designed bird table
Well-designed, sturdy table. Nice and tall too but more importantly, easy to clean with the slide-out base. Yes it has taken the birds a couple of days to get used to the shiny plastic surface, but so far this has also kept the crows off (!) and the wood pigeons (!!)Fairly easy to build, although due to slight misalignment one of the feet is a little shorter than the others so it rocks a little on the flat, but hasn't blown over in the past few days in the srong winds. Very pleased with purchase, would recommend.

RSPB Gothic Bird Table
This is a good, sturdy product: it took me a couple of hours to assemble, but then I take the slow but sure approach. There are reasons that I have docked one star - firstly the lovely coloured roof is now plain, the rain having washed off whatever was applied to colour it; secondly, when I first assembled it, one side of the base structure lifted up, presumably to allow the plastic base to slide out. The wet weather has caused all the wood to swell so that no longer works. Thirdly, as noted from another customer review, I think I would have to unscrew side supports to remove this plate anyway. Enough of the niggles, this is a lovely, large structure, big enough to allow a couple of small hooks to be attached to the inside of the roof to hold a couple of feeders, very useful for keeping bird food dry in the recent downpours. In spite of competition from a very large hedge I now get a lot of feathered visitors to my new table (and I can't wait to repaint it when the Spring comes).

Well designed quality table
Bought this for my wife's birthday and had to put it together quite quickly to keep it secret. This was no problem - it assembled easily, is good and solid and looks well in the flowerbed. Most important of all, the birds are happy with it. The overhanging roof means the pigeons can't land on the table and monopolise the feed. Overall a great success and excellent value too.

Only for men with a twitchy screwdriver
If you're not happy with a screwdriver in your hand you won't appreciate the assembly - it comes with 36 screws! The screw holes don't appear to be in any way machined just to make it harder. When (eventually) it is assembled it is a heavy substantial piece but some of the screw heads don't sit flush because the holes have been drilled at an angle. And as for the removal tray, well, it's just nonsense. The instructions say one of the wooden sides can be swivelled upwards to allow the liner to be slid out. The wooden tray sides , however, are all firmly screwed together, so to allow the liner to slide out you'd have to each time start unscrewing one of them. Too much faff! If you've got a couple of hours to fill and you like fitting pieces of wood together and you like endlessly screwdriving, go ahead but if I had known what was involved I'd have bought a ready assembled one from the garden centre.

Gothic bird table
I bought this product because I liked the look of it. There was no indication as to how hard it would be to assemble. My husband is quite used to diy, but he had a struggle. I had not anticipated the job I was landing him with when I ordered it. Also the so-called "sliding tray" was a misnomer. I think there should have been a warning about the trickiness of assembly. Anyone who bought it who had no access to a carpenter would be really stumped. My husband is still speaking to me, but only just!!! The finished job looks beautiful. I just hope the birds think so too!!

Lovely Bird Table!
For whatever reason this type of bird feeder is not available here in America. I've searched and searched for years to find one here. The few I have found here are very expensive. Visiting the UK for over 20 years multiple times I have always noticed feeders of this type and wanted one for my feathered friends. Finally I decided to come here to AmazonUK and look. I actually found this one and loved the look so went for it. The price was great and shipping wasn't bad at all. Even with shipping it was less than what I would pay for something similar here in America. Oh, and it was here in 3 days! Pleasant surprise for sure. The birds seem to love this bird table as much as I do. Thank you!

RSPB GOTHIC BIRD TABLE
I was some what concerned given the review that had been posted on the difficulty of assembling the said table but frankly it was extremely easy to put together, probably one of the easier pieces of flat pack I've had to endure & I guess in all that it took no more than 40 minutes at a relatively leisurely pace. The battery driven screwdriver, cross head driver & gimlet were all the tools I needed to put it together, the instructions were simple and concise and it looks fine.Where I would agree is that the "removable tray" is not that easy to remove! You can get it out but it means unscrewing a side guide from the table and I would suggest that after a few extractions the screw holes will enlarge and the side will no longer be able to be reattached. The 30mm screws really need to be 35mm and there needs to be at least 8 more screws to enable the assembly to be fixed more robustly, I used some that I had but it really is penny pinching on what otherwise is an excellent product.
