Montana West Hobo Handbag for Women Large Purses and Handbags

I love this purse! Yes! I finally have a nice leather purse that's comfortable to carry on my shoulder without slipping off. I wasn't sure if I'd like it because it looked bulky and hobo bags are usually sloppy looking to me. Not this purse! It is stylish, with the golden zippers and studs detailing the outside. It has a lot of room. It has pockets inside and out. I love the zipper pockets. There is 3 outside zipper pockets, 2 inside pockets toward the front, another zip pocket inside on the back. And a center zip section. This purse is a soft leather, not bulky, not sloppy looking and the yellow is a great color for spring / summer. It's not a mustard yellow but more like a sunflower yellow. I'm pleased.

I liked everything about this bag. I love the purple metallic color and the stitching. It is a very sturdy bag. I love the amount of pockets it has both on the inside with two zipper inside and two open and one zipper pocket outside as well as the zippered concealed carry pocket outside that zips from both the left and the right ends of the purse. It's the perfect size to hold everything I need as well as a big gun. It has two straps; one shorter strap and a longer crossbody strap that is adjustable.

I ordered this Montana West purse wallet combo on sale , and didn’t really expect a lot for the price but , man oh man did it impress me !! The hardware , vegan leather , strap and purse feet gave it a high quality feel . Inside is lined beautifully, again giving a rich feel to the purse . Lots of various pockets of different sizes for storage and easy accessibility. Overall , the purse isn’t too large or too small , it’s very well Made , very expensive and stylish looking and comes in tons of other color options. Would be a great gift for someone or a nice gift for yourself.

Like a lot of women I'd wager, one of the wife's chief complaints when it comes to female clothing (besides the same size in one brand being totally different in another) is the lack of pockets. While this is not to say she doesn't enjoy carting around feminine items, like say a purse, but just that she sometimes envies the option us guys have of always having our stuff on hand and never having to worry about being separated from it and she can't help telling me so. Frequently. Of course, as I like to remind her in the pockets vs. bag debate, she has the advantage of being able to tote around more items, which could include everything but the kitchen sink. Unfortunately, I have the feeling she has taking me too literally and perhaps the kitchen sink might actually have been in her previous purse. So thus, knowing she needed a bigger purse and wanting to keep her happy or at least prevent her from surprising me by pulling a rabbit out of the previous one, I figured I'd gift her a bigger, better bag for her birthday. I decided it not only had to be larger than her current one but given our state has recently become constitutional carry, I wanted her to have the ability to protect herself in addition to hauling more stuff than a pack mule. I settled on the Montana West Hobo Bag both for the seemingly adequate volume, and it being advertised as a concealed carry purse (more on that in a moment). Another factor in my decision was, unlike most other brands I looked at, it was available in her favorite color of girly-girl pink. Since our home sometimes looked like Barbie Land long before the movie came out, I knew she would appreciate it for this aspect alone and it would coordinate well with many of her outfits. As to the pros: It is definitely roomier than her previous purse and can hold a lot of stuff, consisting of a large inner void with three separate pockets (two with zippers) inside, an outer zippered pocket on the back and a cavernous space between those two areas with a zipper at either end that is supposed to be for concealed carry and is anything but. The material is fairly attractive looking and seems durable. I haven't noticed any workmanship or damage issues like some have claimed in the reviews, but of course time and use will tell. For the cons, there is only really one and that is in the aforementioned faux concealed carry design and just the fact it is advertised as being designed to easily store and able to access something like a firearm is somewhat disingenuous to put it mildly. In short, while it could theoretically be used to carry a firearm, so could any generic purse and any advantages this one has over those others is very mild. The most glaring issue is the area advertised for it is actually too big and combined with the lack of an internal holster having to quickly access a defensive weapon, particularly when under stress, by having to dig deep down into it is very inefficient. Add to the fact without a holster attached to the wall of the pocket even a full-size pistol risks getting turned around every which way and in a precarious position to access should the need arise. Her small .38 snubby gets practically lost in the “concealed carry” pocket (see photo). Unless you are planning to tote around an Uzi or Mac 10 for defense, this pocket would best be served to carry a computer tablet or perhaps a few paperback books instead and is of a generous enough size for either one. I do plan at a later date to perhaps Velcro a holster inside so she can still somewhat make it work, but such modifications shouldn't be necessary I feel since being advertised as “concealed carry”, it should be usable in its default state. Overall, she is happy with it due to the large volume as well as the color and design. On that last point alone, she has already gotten several positive admirations from other women on it and again highlights the gender differences when it comes to the pockets vs. bag debate since I've never had other guys tell me they really like my pockets and ask where I got them from. So, while I guess as long as she likes it then I know I made the right decision, but still due to my dissatisfaction with it NOT being a concealed carry purse, precludes me from giving it five stars and only due to her satisfaction do I even give it four. In short, it is a quality general purpose purse for carrying anything but a firearm. But as a concealed carry purse, not so much.

I don’t own a lot of bags because I am very picky. Material, design and color are very important for me. I never owned a black bag because I really can’t find something that I like. But I am glad that I found Montana West here. It took a while for me to decide so this bag sat in my cart for more than 2 weeks. 😅 When it arrived, it didn’t fail me. It was as expected! It’s lightweight and very spacious, just what I need. I waited until the price went down so I really got a good bargain for a very nice bag! I love the color of the strap and how it blends well with its gold hardware. The leather is soft and the lining of the bag is of good quality - you can feel that the cloth is soft and of very good material. I hope my feedback have been helpful. If you like the bag, just go ahead and purchase it!

This is a very stylish purse at a great price. I actually have it in two colors, but it loses stars due to the fact that it's advertised as a CCW purse, and it is not designed well for that AT.ALL. It is very roomy with a nice lining and some inside side wall pockets. However, the side zip pockets where it would be ideal to store the firearm are TINY! My little Sig P238 just barely fits without a holster. Especially being a flimsy fabric pocket, there is no way I can carry that way. I would never carry, even in a separate pocket without the trigger being safely guarded. That is not possible with this design. I am trying to figure out a way to engineer a solution using the outside back zipper pocket, possibly sewing in some velcro and adding a holster. It's a nice purse overall, just be advised that it's not good for CCW purposes.

Love it. This brand delivers. Color is beautiful. I don't really like green that much but this is so pretty. Only thing I'd change to silver hardware but worth it to keep anyway. Really well made, leather fine, hardware nice. Plenty of room but has pockets. I've bought this bag in several colors I like it so much but have returned most cuz of gold hardware. When it's this noticeable I generally return unless silver, just think it would be so much better. Anyway the color was so 🔥 that kept. Pictures do not do justice. I would describe as oil slick green if you know what I mean. Very dark bluish green looks like when you see oil floating on top of puddle. Shows more in diff lighting. The hardware and stitching are great. I'm not a fanatic at this price but it looks fine to me. The inside material possibly their signature print could be a little snazzier but no big deal. I will try to show in pics if they come out ok. I almost didn't include pics cuz diff in every light. First 2 are at window 7 pm last 2 are with makeup mirror light in background. Ok after all THAT, sorry, If you like the color in Amazon pic you'll like in person and even if you are not a green girl, try it. Dont think you'll be disappointed.

This bag is gorgeous and extremely comfortable. I was gonna take off one star because I don’t like the center pocket and right in the middle which divides the bad but and I want to discourage anyone from not buying this because of that it’s not a big deal but for me I really prefer not to have that center pocket because then I have to look on both sides if I can’t find something right away I think you know what I mean! But the quality is exceptional. I never purchase non-leather handbags, but decided for the look that its metallic purple might be a little trendy, but I would buy this over again. It’s that cute. Stay on the shoulder well, but I would change out the Crossbody strap for a wide guitar strap for comfort if you fill this bag up and it’s heavy, the strap might dig into your shoulder! I’m going for the turquoise one now too!

Was just looking for a new cross body bag, but when this arrived it was too large. I was going to return it, however, it was so beautiful and the detail was exquisite that I decided to keep it. The packaging was very impressive. Every detail of this handbag and shipping was impressive. I feel like I should have one in many colours LoL.
