Bad quality rackets - are these even original Yonex ?
The strings are very loose on all Yonex entry level models. I understand these models are for beginners - and I bought these for my kids who are just learning - so they will not notice the issue with the strings. But being a reputed brand, shouldn't Yonex pay a little more attention to quality control ?In March 2022, I ordered the Yonex ZR 100,in April I ordered another Yonex ZR 100,in June, I ordered the ZR111 G4 Uand in July, I ordered the Yonex GR 303.This is a review for all these three models (ZR100, ZR111 G4 U and the GR 303)The ZR111 G4 U was a little better (in comparison), the other two models have the same poor quality issues and loose strings. The strings should be reasonably tight for better shuttle control and if strings are very loose, you will also have to apply more force to move the shuttle. IMHO, Even the cheapest racket from Decathlon has tighter strings and better finishing.I have been playing badminton for over 35 years now; and I have used various models from Yonex, Li-Ning, Gosen and more recently, Decathlon in-house brands - so I know a thing or two about buying decent rackets. The rackets from Yonex were well packed all the four times - no damage to the package - So, this was a quality control issue right from the factory. Even if a slightly bent head can be ignored, the strings are way too loose even for beginners.Lesson learnt - I will not order shuttle rackets online. Absolutely no more Yonex ever. Better to buy a cheap unit from Decathlon or any local store.
