works great. key is to use it before the concrete sets up when it's still a little wet, but not too wet. also, you have to lift the leading edge and press the trailing edge. when you go back and forth, this obviously changes. i use it with 80lb high strength concrete which has gravel in it, so you have to make sure you gently get the gravel out of the way on the first pass. when i come back to it, there's no problems with pressing the gravel into firm concrete. finishing with the second pass is a breeze if you do a preliminary pass first.

I did not check the with and is too narrow for me I thought it was 4 inch wide , it's not, but still do the job
