I bought this for one of my goats who weighs about 80 kg and is really strong and I’m absolutely delighted. The actual screw steak hasn’t come out of the ground at all and whereas I was using a training lead before which was continually getting caught up especially around the stake, this is never caught up. It was also very reasonably priced and well-made.

Very easy to use, I personally attached the dogs retractable leads to the stake as the cable was too long for where we were but even so, it worked a treat! Easy to put in the ground and remove

Product seems well made; steel is sturdy, plastic handle is comfortable and comes in a stuff sack which is useful to keep everything together and the cable tidy. The spring on the cable whilst a good idea would suit a larger dog as it’s quite heavy and bulky for a small dog. Whilst no instructions came with it I assume the spring is meant to clip to the collar to provide shock absorption should the dog run and cable pull tight. With my Frenchie it works better with it clipped the other way round but the shock absorption could be isolated if the cable snagged on something. The clips seem robust and well made and the plastic coating on the steel cable is easy to wipe clean if necessary. I got the 10m length which I thought might be too long but it’s actually more versatile and can be shortened with a bit of improvisation if necessary. Best used in areas free from obstruction as it can get wrapped up around garden furniture etc. Good value overall.

The stake you screw into the ground is far stronger than I imagined and a bit bigger, so absolutely perfect for a King Charles spaniel, and probably bigger dogs too. The cable which comes with it to attach to your dog is also good quality, and not too heavy for our spaniel.Overall, very pleased.

We used this when camping and it was great for keeping the dog close to us but also allowing him to move around.
