Nicer than expected
Nicer than expected. I used them for pirate treasure and they looked great. Plastic gems were shiny and very colorful. Very happy with this purchase.

Looked good and kids enjoyed them
Used these for a kids birthday party and buried them in sand to find buried pirate’s treasure. The kids loved it and the jewels and coins were big enough that they didn’t get lost.

Not for deeper pools
I got this with the idea of using it for diving with my kids. The gems sink quickly, but are relatively small. The lighter colored ones would have been difficult to see in deeper water due to being very transparent. Some of the medallions floated. This is great for kiddie pools, but maybe not for deeper pools. I wish the medallions were denser, and that the gems were darker for the purpose I had in mind. For other uses outside my specific needs, I see this set as a great value, the gems have a good transparency that lends to pretending they're real, and the medallions have good color.

Gems good- chest is flimsy
The diamonds themselves are great. However the treasure chest is very flimsy and thin and doesn't stay closed well.
