Great machine. Super-fast, and a tbyte ssd. I teach, and it is more than adequate. Also, you generally can't beat a Dell with a strong Intel processor. I would suggest not getting one with an AMD processor. The display is very sharp. Colors are true.

Perfect replacement for my old notebook pc. Nice USB-C V2 connector. I can do very fast backups to it. Backlit keyboard is nice and bright. Good performance. Starts up very fast.

Good computer, although I had a problem with the fan after around 3 months. However, with the excellent warranty I had with them, provided by my Amazon purchase. they made a "house call" and replaced the fan.

Price was right for 16gb of RAM, I've had some good Dells in the past, their service plans are affordable and they make things right if anything ever breaks. I don't use the touch screen but haven't disabled it YET, I just found out that a feature called swipe down to shut down is enabled and i need to disable to get the power button to shut down with one push.

Writing a review after having this laptop for over a year. The biggest issue that I can attest to is the ridiculous fan noise and the speed of the fan that spins up for seemingly no reason…there are not even processor intensive tasks going on when this happens. It may be that Dell does not have a clue how to calibrate their fan software, because my XPS does the same thing, unfortunately— and for a desktop computer, that’s one thing, but on a laptop, it’s extremely annoying. I’m also a proficient Windows user so I know about the different power modes and this persists no matter what. You would think that there is a You would think that there is a supercomputer inside this thing based on how loud it gets… It’s also very arbitrary of when it does decide to spin up at max speed or then not at all. Perplexing and disappointing, per usual for Dell. I hoped to use this laptop to load photos onto from the built-in SD card reader, that’s one of the only pluses— but because of the distracting noise, plastic fantastic build, and mediocre performance for a Core 7, I ended up giving it away to a college student. Oh and they are now telling me that it’s constantly dropping Wi-Fi to make matters even worse. Yikes. Maybe for the discount price that it’s going for now it’s worth it but when I purchased, it definitely wasn’t, and I should’ve returned it when I had the chance. Plus, after my recent experience with Dell customer service regarding their horrible all-in-one desktop, I will not recommend their products to anyone no matter what it is. If you have an issue, let me assure you that you will be directed to a call center in India and brushed off. But even if I were to look past all of the court issues with the brand, trust me when I say this particular item is especially low tier.

i bought this for my wife after her 7 year old Dell died. It is very fast and she loves it.

The memory and speed of this laptop is excellent. It makes my work much quicker and less stressful. Purchased when it was on sale, fast shipping. Arrived before holidays comping up. Although I find some of the Microsoft changes with Windows 11 and OneDrive to be confusing and difficult to follow this new Dell computer works well and helps me to explore with more ease. My only complaint was the weight, its a bit heavy to carry around.

I've been a Dell laptop customer for many years. That said, I believe this will be my last Dell. I have had issues with the battery suddenly not working. Thought it just hadn't been plugged in to charge, but when I took the back off and removed the plug in for the battery from the computer then plugged it back in, it worked and showed a full battery. Dell Support sent me a new battery but after installing the new battery, the same thing happened about a month later. And now the laptop will not acknowledge ANY of the USB dongles for any mouse that I have. I have tried different USB ports on my laptop. I have checked on another computer if the mice work. They do. I finally have a mouse that uses Bluetooth and have found that is the only way that the laptop will acknowledge a mouse. I have been chatting with Dell Support, but they have not understood the question and so have not been able to assist me. All other connections of anything else using USB work just not a mouse of any kind.

EXCELENT LAPTOP, THANK YOU DELL

I bought this laptop for my son in July and it has been perfect for about 1.5 months. Then towards the end of September, it started to blue screen. I am a professional so I know how to computers work. After uninstalling a lot of the software and still unable to fix Windows, I installed Ubuntu Linux. Even Linux freezes on a daily basis. This leads me to think there is some hardware issue. I will try to contact Dell support to see what they can do. Very disappointed.

I needed a new laptop mainly for my podcast. Fast, reliable and haven’t had an issue. The keyboard is English which is important considering I live in Quebec. I’m not sure about games but this comport is exactly what I need for my editing program. I highly recommend this laptop.

Je suis très déçu, car je l’aimais beaucoup. Le clavier était très agréable à utiliser, l’écran était grand et confortable, mais il faisait pas mal de bruit… Malheureusement, après seulement deux semaines, il ne s’allume plus du tout.
