It also makes a froth, albeit an weak one. Unfortunately, I just cannot figure out how to get rid of the steam pressure that builds up from the hot water and shaking it to dissolve the matcha. I've tried leaving the lid off for a bit, tried to close it, then open it again before shaking, partially opening it, etc. Nothing works to prevent it spraying hot matcha liquid everywhere once you've shook it up to dissolve the matcha. There must be a way to prevent this, but there's no tips that came with shaker bottle other than to warn you many times to be careful of the steam build up. Maybe it works well for cold brew, but that's not what I wanted it for. Too bad, if it wasn't for this hot-liquid-spraying-all-over-you problem, I would have given this 5 stars. Instead I have to give it 2 stars as it is quite dangerous.

Makes great matcha to go
I like kitchen items that serve more than one purpose. I love matcha but couldn't justify buying the wooden whisk just to froth it. This water bottle is amazing, not only does it froth the matcha really well, it doubles as a loose leaf tea to go bottle!

Smooth matcha
So far, so good. It definitely mixes the matcha really well, but if you like it hot, you have to drink it quickly as this doesn't keep it warm for long. I put the matcha in the top in the morning, and add hot water to just the bottle at lunch, shake it, and it mixes well.
