Mens Ghillie Tie Desert Boots Dark Suede Size UK

I have been wearing Roamers (Desert boots) for about 30 years and currently have 2 pairs on the go..... they are my ‘go to’ for everyday.This is what I have discovered.....1. Great price and VFM2. They are comfy, but adding a set of Scholl Active insoles (£10) makes them ‘Amazingly comfortable’3. Flat pack so easy to travel with4. Not waterproof but dry reasonably quickly5. Look smart with jeans6. The heel will wear but at this price you just buy another pair7. I’ve never had the stitching come loose, and believe me I’ve abused them!I would like to see if the manufacturer could come up with the same boot but with a gore-tex lining?(And would be more than happy to trial them!)You’re missing out if you don’t own a pair of these iconic boots

Ordered for myself (a lady size 6!) and the fit was fine. Have been looking for some desert boots for a while and like these as they are a bit different from the usual plain-style ones you see everywhere. They are very light (but don't feel flimsy) and were comfy straight away, with no rubbing round the ankles. The only downside is that the soles have very little grip and can be a bit slippy in the wet. Speedy delivery and would recommend them.

Been wearing these on and off for 30 years and despite them only lasting a max of 18 months as you can't resole them I've never found any decent alternatives. Once you've worn them for a few weeks the front edge of the heel flattens and they're essentially zero lift boots at a fraction of the cost. Very comfy good looking boots but beware smooth surfaces in the wet as the soles are very slippy.

I realised they were simple and cheap but I guess you always kid yourself that they will be better. They aren't, they are simple and cheap with soles that are unlikely to last too much use outside. They look nice though!

As a former Royal Marine I used to wear similar all the time. Then they seemed to disappear. So glad to be able to buy them again. Boots were a bit of a tight fit at first but being suede after a couple of days they stretched to a nice comfortable fit. Will definitely buy again. 👍
