**** UPDATE. STILLLL JAMMIN THIS RECORD! !! HANDS DOWN BEST METAL ALBUM THIS YEAR!!Bought this a few months ago. Thought it was decent. The more I listened the more I got hooked. Rocking the hell out on the way to work! I bought their last 2 albums as well. All great. I'm a huge fan already. I want more. I need more. Give me mo mo mo. They got a nice raw/thrash/grunge sound. Whatever it is it's a breath of fresh air. Starting to get a bit stale outside of Gojira's Tera Incognito and Sepultura's Machine Messiah.Grade: A

This was the best album of 2016, hands down. I've had this on repeat via Spotify since its release, and realized I gotta throw these boys some cash for their hard work. I don't often buy CDs, but I needed the physical copy of Gold.If you're already a fan of noise bands like Unsane, Melvins, Hammerhead, etc, and you don't already have this, shame on you. If you are not a fan of noise bands like Unsane, Melvins, Hammerhead, etc, then double shame on you, because they are amazing and Whores equal the sonic excellence of their forefathers.I can't even pick a few standout tracks, because there is no filler on this record. Every track is a standout. I can't wait for the next record from these guys.

I picked this album up after seeing these guys with Torche / Red Fang on a recent tour. Man, they were AGGRESSIVE!Simply, they stole the show.They are somewhat reminiscent of old Jesus Lizard in tone and structure.This album is aptly titled Gold, which it is. It's hard, heavy, often sarcastically funny, and really well put together. The songs are well constructed, and heavy. Did I mention they were heavy?Just buy it. If you are a fan of metal, you will love this album.

I was going to the Red Fang show so, as I usually do, I checked up on the other bands playing. As soon as I saw a video of WHORES playing live I knew I loved them. The album is great. It isn't clear who writes the lyrics, but I would like to ask them to hang in there and get through it, and thank you for the music.
