SkyCaddie Golf GPS Watch

This is my first experience using an electronic GPS on the golf course. I went to all of the hole distance markers and tested the Skycaddie and it was spot on. I really like the fact it has the front middle and back distances for the holes. The screen is very nice to read on the course even in bright light. The way the watch works is also easy while golfing, it did not seem like a burden to use at all. The main deficiencies as I would rate it only 4 stars are that although you can track your scores, it does not save or download your scores after each round. This is tedious seeing as how the watch does save odometer sessions but not golf sessions (on a golf watch??)...very strange. Also, its lacking some other simple golf features like tracking number of puts, greens in regulation, etc. Outside of that you also will need a subscription to their service in order to be able to continually use this watch. They have annual and 3 year plans according to the website. The watch will NOT work without the service being activated after the first 30 days of use.

I bought this watch for the skycaddie reputation, but it has fallen short. My main complaint is that it can't save your final score at the end of a round. So, the navigational properties work well and its a good looking watch. My friend has the Garman watch and he's quite happy with it. I guess I'll try Garmin.

This watch is exactly what I was looking for. I took it running today and it was very accurate. It is very lightweight and great for more than just Golf. I was tired of carrying around my phone and then recharging my phone because the app was draining the battery. This is perfect because all you need is your watch and your clubs. I don't need all the fancy graphics I just need distances. This watch is a winner in my book. Already love it.

I purchased the watch the first weekend it was available. I was able to pick it up for $169.99 plus free shipping. I have been able to use it on five or six rounds. It has been perfect me. I was able to sync it on the skycaddie site it 15 minutes. I also have a G3. I have used the watch exclusively since I purchased it. It does not have a lot of the features of the G3 but for easy of use, nothing beats the watch. I have been a little down on the battery life but I have abeen able to easily get 18 holes in with it. Tracking the distance on jogs has been spot on. The calorie counter is also very accurate. Kurt N.
