very very spiced. no vanilla at all

The flavor is of a nice mild black tea and soft vanilla and gentle nutmeg. None are overpowering or bold, and no bitterness. I cannot taste the lemon blam or lemongrass, except very subtlely because I know they are there. It is more like a tiny hint of lemon sugar cookie than sour citrus, but no sweetness at all. Unless you add some. . Thankfully, there is no cinnamon- which is not my favorite that seems to be in a lot of "cozy" teas. It pairs GREAT with milk/cream and you can add a bit of sugar or honey or not. It would blend great with a vanilla tea or cinnamon tea, if you wanted to add to the flavor. I have also used this tea with a vanilla creamer I make at home with light cream and vanilla bean paste- and it reminds me of yummy eggnog. My only complaint here, is the way Amazon put this order in a large paper shipping envelope with a heavy bag of laundry detergent. It came with the box demolished and the foil bag popped open. They refunded me so I can order a replacement. Hopefully, they will listen to feedback and get better about the waste their shipping centers create with careless packaging.

The tea tastes lovely and it helped me to sleep, it’s very soothing. It is a bit expensive, it would be about half the price in the supermarket, if they ever had it in stock. But it’s worth the cost for the benefit I get from it.

Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea Bedtime Brew is a decaf black. The black tea flavor is lighter and less robust, but if you are familiar with decaf blacks, it tastes just like that. The decaffinating process tends to change the flavor but with 1/10th of the caffeine. You can always use an additional bag if you want a stronger flavor but I prefer the lighter flavor as it can be less astringent and bitter. With the light malty flavor of the black tea is a creamy vanilla with the warmth of nutmeg. It's quite satisfying. Try Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea Bedtime Brew iced too! I used 2 bags, steeped in an 1.5" of boiling water in a mason jar. Steeped for a couple minutes, remove the bags, then top with ice and a splash of vanilla syrup, or even some milk. It is fantastic!
