After seeing a bearded brother prasing this stuff on his YouTube channel I decided it was worth a shot and ordered a jar of belle isle.The scent itself isn't one I normally would have went for (more of a woodsy or old fashion barber shop smell kind of guy) but it was a scent I loved as soon as I opened it. Its a light refreshing citrus smell that isn't over powering but has the power to remain lightly fragrant all day.Where this beard butter really shines is what it did for my beard. Ive suffered with a dry brittle knotted and tangled beard my whole life and the very first morning after using this my beard was the softest it had ever been and I could even run a comb through it, something I had never been able to do before. After 4 days of using this I've decided I'm now a lifelong buyer of this product and will never be without a jar or two. Now that I know that this beard butter works (unlike some companies that advertise miracles but don't deliver) I placed an order for another jar of a different scent which im convinced I will be equally as happy with!Long review summed up;You won't be disappointed with this beard butter one bit!

This stuff works great. It softens my beard and when I use it before bed, it makes combing through my beard in the morning a breeze.

I got this after hearing Dan C Bearded on YouTube proclaim the benefits of the Belle Isle citrus/lavendar for skin health as well as soothing night-time beard butter goodness. I have to say, I'm not really one for floral or citrus, so I don't find the scent that amazing but like I said there are alleged health benefits. ONE BAD THING about this product is that I used it at night on a day where I shaved in the morning, and it absolutely inflamed my neck, likely from the citrus. Avoid using this on shave days or at least be more careful than I was.This product appears to be of very high quality, with characteristics of natural ingredients; it has an interesting texture and comes with a funny divot/sinkhole in the top no doubt from minor heating/cooling events. That dent is fine by the way! Product dissolves easily in the hands and feels good in beard, just not on recently shaved skin. I have noticed a change in beard softness since I started using it at night only a couple days ago, but I had not been using beard butters at all prior to that, so this is really just a comment on whether beard butters in general work.CON: As for the packaging, there is no seal on the inside or outside of the jar; it's just a jar and although mine arrived just fine I have seen others complain of their jar being completely open upon arrival. I would probably still use if I received it that way and the product was undisturbed in the jar though.Overall a great product, great value for the amount you receive, and Belle Isle scent possibly has benefits beyond other beard butters. Will buy again or at least by more butter from Detroit Grooming, but had to dock them a star for the packaging. PUT A PLASTIC SEAL ON THE OUTSIDE PLEASE.

I really like this beard butter. The scent is very nice. I use this at night before going to bed to keep my skin and beard hydrated. When I wake up my beard is nice and soft and no flaky skin. Very happy with this product and I will buy more when I run out. This 4 ounce size is great and the price is even better!

Great citrus scent that isn't overpowering. I swim 1-2x's a week and apply this afterwards to reduce beard breakage. Does wonders for my skin and beard health. Very happy with this product, will buy again when I run out.

The beard butter provides adequate moisture, however if you are looking for a butter with more fragrance this isn't it. The scent is very, very faint, I tend to like my butter to have a more defined but not overpowering scent. Overall its a solid product, a little shine and has managed to keep my beard smooth and soft. Can't argue with the quantity for the price I would just perfer a stonger scent.

I wasn't told to write this review and nor do I work for detroit grooming. But i wanted to tell everyone this is the BEST night time butter period. Very very very moisturizing, belle isle smells relaxing like lemon tea with some essential oils. I put this in before bed and my beard feels so soft. I absolutely love this stuff!

Will definitely be a top 3 life time butters.

Pleasant scent , not over powering. Moisturizing is ok . Okay been using it a few days so it may take a few days for beard to get use to. Not to bad . Seems a little waxy for what I was looking for .
