Panasonic Epilator with Gentle Cap, Electric Hair Removal Tool for Home, 3 Speed Settings, Wet Dry, Washable - ES-EY30

I had to replace my philips epilator and this looked like an economic replacement. I’m impressed with the hair removal and comfort. We’ll see how durable this is but so far it works great. I use this primarily on leg hair and rear end so can’t speak to underarms or pubic area. It takes several passes on the legs and I can do both legs and rear end on one charge.

This has to be the best epilator I have ever had, and I've had a lot of them over the years. I would recommend the Panasonic epilator for the ease of use, ease of cleaning and it seems to be less painful, I dont know how that can be but it is to me. The best part is that it has the 2 heads and it gets more hair faster. Love it!

OK, using this is not a pleasant experience but it IS a worthwhile experience. Anyone who tweezes has faced the uncomfortable sensation of the sting. This pulls out many hairs at a time so it also stings. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm still using the "gentle" guard which just allows a small area of the roller to be used; I imagine using it full on for the first time would be a shock. It does get easier over time: you get more used to it and the new hairs come out more easily. Having tried all kinds of epilators over the years, I was always disappointed, but this work. You'll know it's working because "OW!" But work it does and the epilator is effective so it's worth it. it doesn't give instructions for the face, which it where I'm using it. My meds following my cancer treatment blocks every hormone in my body (not really, it just feels that way), and this takes care of my resulting facial hair in a few painful minutes.

Works really well, charge doesn't last as long as it should, so multiple recharges needed if you don't use it often and have large areas to work on. Overall great epilator.

I have been epilating since 1991… I was DIE-HARD for Enjoi brand… Only owned 2 since 1998. My first was lost to Hurricane Katrina & my second just now died 💔 So, I ordered this one since I cannot find an Emjoi epilator for sale anywhere!!! WELL!!!! this Panasonic is ABSOLUTELY the BEST, PAIN-FREE Epilator!!! I HOPE IT NEVER GETS DISCONTINUED!!!! I’ve also waxed when I’ve been unable to use my epilator for whatever reason (recovering from surgery, etc.) Seriously, NOTHING worked as well as this product! 💖💖💖💖💖💖 I truly have not shaved since 1991… and you need to stop & grab one of these!!!!

April 1, 2026 update:My original review of this epilator was in January of 2026. After using it for several more months, I am less impressed. The device has slowed down considerably and I have to take breaks to charge it 3 or 4 times to finish just one complete hair removal process on my legs. It seems to be operating slower, having a harder time grabbing the hairs, and holding less charge.For reference, I generally perform this process about twice a month, so the unit isn’t being subject to excessive use and generally I can complete the process with one charge, sometimes two charges if I wait a little longer and the hair is longer/thicker. It’s only been 6 months since I’ve had this one, whereas the Braun units I’ve used in the past have worked very efficiently for several years before they start to slow down.At this point I plan to order a new Braun epilator since those have performed so well for me for many years.Original review: January 2026I’ve used Braun epilators for many years, which I was generally pleased with. My current device was slowing down so it was time for a replacement, and I decided to try this Panasonic epilator because it was priced comparatively to the Braun I was planning to purchase, but it boasted wider tweezers which meant a potentially quicker hair removal experience (and considering I have very hairy legs, it can be a time consuming process!).I purchased this item in October 2024, so have had several months to use it and can confidently say that I am exceptionally pleased with this device. The wider tweezers definitely make a difference in how quickly the process is completed and I also feel as though it pulls even shorter hairs than the Braun devices I’ve used in the past. It also seems to provide a slightly less painful experience than the devices I’ve owned previously.As a long time Epilating lady, I would definitely recommend this product!

This has been the Cadillac of any epilator I've ever owned. Crazy long battery life and great performance. Gentler, yet more accurate, than my last one that I only replaced because the battery finally bit the dust after about 8 years. I use this instead of shaving. After having cancer, what little hair on my body came back came in very thin and sparse, so with this I really don't need to shave anywhere.

I was worried about spending the extra money on the epilator but I knew I needed a good one. I had been using the Remington for years. It was all I knew and grew attached to it but when it stopped working I was devastated because the company stopped making it. I did some research and came across this one and decided to plunge in on the investment. I’m very glad I did. It’s quiet, easy to maneuver and pretty much picks up most if not all the hair in one stroke, cutting down time spent. It also left my legs very smooth, smoother than my previous one. Very happy with the outcome. Definitely worth it and glad I bought it.
