These spoons are well made but just a tad thick. The handles could be a bit smaller, they feel bulky when using them for any length of time. They should also be cleaned before using since I noticed a brown colored liquid left behind after using them in a boiling liquid then setting it on the counter. They are smooth and stand up to a thick sauce. I even used them when mixing ground beef and italian sausage for stuffed peppers... something I would normally use my hands for and they handled the job very well!The ladle could be a little wider. Instead of having such a thick wall, I think this wall could be thinned just a little to give the ladle the ability to handle more volume, maybe actually look like the one pictured here.All in all they seem to be good wooden spoons, they appear to be one solid piece so no worries about them separating at seams or joints. That is important since there would be no glue to worry about leaching into my food.

Thes spoons look nice and the weight of them is wonderful. The only complaint I have is that the finish came off after the first washing which was okay because I don't know what the finish was and I washed them before I used them. Whatever was shiny washed out and didn't end up in my food. So, yay.The working end of these utensils are really thick, so they are best used for heavier cooking. Not for cooking anything that needs to be moved around with a precise edge. The bowls of the spoons are good and deep, allowing for getting enough of your recipe out of the pot for true tasting.The long handled spoon is such a great tool for using in a deep stock pot, or with recipes that splash.After they are washed, they are not attractive utensils at all. They look primitive and aged. But as far as quality goes, I'm impressed and like them very much.

Not like the picture. The wood is dull and a bit cracked, and the ‘soup ladle’ is just a thick spoon with a scoop.

The finish on these are great. Most of the time you get a wood spoon that it not finished and looks like it will give you splinters

Not really functional

So...the spoons pictured are NOT the ones I received. What the h*e*c*k is going here? Also, the holes were drilled too far down and don't fit in my hooks because of this.. Too much of a hassle to return so I kept them. The handles are really clunky. Would not recommend.

I absolutely love these Serving Spoons. They are well made - thick & smooth and look so Elegant in my counter top Utensil Holder! I get MANY Compliments on them. Would definitely purchase again. A++++ Customer Service as well.
