Just watch for unscrewing!
I started using knitpicks interchangeable needles a while ago because a knitting friend gave me one of their starter packs, so I've been slowly adding needle sizes as needed. The good part is that these needles are beautiful, smooth, comfortable and mostly great to work with. They feel fantastic, the wood grain is really stunning, and the yarn doesn't slip or stick. The only con, which has been a minor issue with all of their interchangeable needles I've used so far, is that the needle will slowly unscrew from the cable as you work. This hasn't become a major issue for me yet, but it is a little bothersome to check them all the time and twist them back on as needed; and if you don't watch them I could see it coming undone and potentially dropping your work. This could just be an effect of the way I hold them, but I've heard others with similar complaints. I still recommend these needles, although I'm open to suggestions for any interchangeable needles that don't do this!

Great customer service
UPDATED REVIEW - Customer service reached out and offered to rectify the issue, received replacement needles at no additional cost. The second pair have been great, no issues noted at this time. Knit well, does not snag on yarn and feels smooth to the touch.Within MINUTES of receiving item, I excitedly attempted to attach to an Interchangeable cable, but unfortunately the wooden portion came out immediately. I was not able to use this product AT ALL. Very bummed, was looking forward to finishing a satchel for a friend. I have invested in many Knit Picks products such as needles/yarn and accessories and this is my first experience with poor craftsmanship. Hoping to salvage by using Gorilla glue but unsure if that’ll be strong enough.

BROKE
Needle tip snapped off the metal part and nearly ruined a very complicated lace pattern I was 138 rows into. I managed to save the work, and have ordered replacement tips but I am NOT HAPPY. I will be returning the original set. Let's see if they will give me a refund.

Love these!
I love knit picks knitting needles, they work great and last forever. I actually prefer the metal sets just as I have had bad luck with other brands of wooden needles in the past (splitting) but these have been great so far!

Make sure you have super glue to secure the metal connectors!
When I went to purchase these I figured I would ignore the reviews saying that the metal connectors were loose. Surely those were just flukes. I received mine and one of the metal connectors was so loose that it fell right off with a small tug. I superglued it back on and it seems to be working fine now, but I'm a little disappointed that they fel lapart so easily in the first place. Besides that, these needles are great, correct thickness and very smooth/slippery so it is easy to slide the yarn.

Best interchangeable needles!
Knit picks interchangeables are the best. They make projects easy to cast on, put on hold, carry about and size up/down if necessary. They are my favorite knitting items!

My go-to brand
I have several sets of Knit Pix interchangeable needs and go back to Knit Pix anytime I need to add or replace them. I prefer wood needles as they tend to hold the yarn better than metal ones. These needles are smooth enough that yarn doesn't catch and the point is good. The joins are smooth as well. Be sure to use the key to tighten them and they won't come loose mid-project.

Smooth surface
The wood needles are coated with something that makes them feel smooth like plastic, and the yarn glides over them very nicely. I also purchased the extra long cable which screws into the needles firmly - haven"t had to retighten them even once.
