Chihuly Macchia

Dale Chihuly is one of my favorite artists, and these little books with DVDs are real gems. The photography is gorgeous, the book, well-made and excellently printed, and the DVD is enlightening. I love seeing "Team Chihuly" work on these series of glass creations, and even break one or two. The Macchia are particularly difficult to make, and I've seen many IRL, so having this little book to look at when I'm far from gardens and museums is a real treat.

I first saw Dale Chihuly on PBS. He was installing chandeliers all over the world. I was fascinated - it was breathtaking. I finally located the company that was the distributor of the film and ordered a copy. He is an incredible artist. I was able to go to Atlanta where he had installed a lot of his glass peices in the botanical garden. I've also been able to go the museum in Auburn, Alabama where they have a permanent chandelier. I just love his works.
