Great product and service
Really good laser toy. I bought the Petsafe Bolt first and the problem is that if you have the laser that stands instead of hangs, the cats eventually figure it out and start looking into the laser. This hanging one is great because you can put it high up and the cats can never get to the laser itself. The suction cup works really well on any smooth surface. Also, customer service was really great. Had a slight problem with the first one where it wouldn't turn off properly and they quickly responded and sent a replacement which works perfectly. The 10 minute timer is just enough time to get the cats some exercise before they lose interest. The only recommendation I would make is if they could make a mode where the laser stays on but doesn't move so you can use it manually like a laser pointer. The Bolt had that feature which is great when you have time to play with your cat. I guess the other recommendation would be to have the battery cover close by latch rather than a screw. It goes through batteries fairly frequently so it would make it easier to change them. Those are small nits though. The toy is great and the cats love it.

okay...
I received this product and seems to been repackaged. Not sure though. There was not a typical seal of any kind not even a little tape disk.Anyway.... it seems to work fine. It is random. I wish it moved a little slower. My cats like it, but don't seem to "track" it very well. Maybe they just need more time. The other issue is in all honesty, my cats prefer when I "play the game" with them with a regular laser light. One suggestion though, I think it would also be better at least for my cats in a room with no furniture. So that the light stays on the floor. When it bounces from furniture to floor is when the cats lose the light. But that is not the fault of the laser.I bought this when it was 19.99. I was not going to pay more for it than that. (For awhile it went up to 99.99!)

The Best
My cat isn't stupid, she knows it's just a dot of light coming from there mounted toy. She doesn't care, she still loves chasing it. I first used the suction cup and stuck it to a glass fronted cabinet a couple feet of the floor, it worked great and stayed mounted. The batteries died and it sat unused for months. However I just put in new batteries and mounted it to the top of a doorway facing straight down. She still loves this thing. The thing that sets it apart is that it has a more varied pattern. Instead of just going back and forth on the same circle it moves up and down and side to side. This is definitely the best automatic laser I have ever seen

Great cat distraction/exerciser/toy!!!
I love this thing, especially with how cheap it is. My cats have so much fun chasing the laser around, and you can keep changing where it's hanging to give them new challenges. I have 5 cats and I've seen even the laziest and largest of them getting more exercise with this thing than any other toy I've gotten them. One of my dogs liked it for a bit but grew tired of its predictability or something.I highly recommend getting some rechargable batteries for it so your cats can play a lot and won't cost you 3 AAA's every few days, with heavy use. The suction cup mount it came with hasn't unstuck since i bought this months ago. You can also hang it from any nail or hook or SERIOUSLY mount it up with some screws if you've got some especially rowdy cats. The motors in it sound a bit plastic and cheap but this was a very inexpensive toy for automatic cat entertainment. No stars off. I can't hear them once they start tumbling around the house after the laser anyway.

Fun for cats, but the button breaks easily, too short of a timer
This was a pretty decent laser toy, and, although the pattern is very predictable, my cats seemed to enjoy it.Two problems: the time limit is far too short, meaning my cats have to come over and remind me to turn it back on every 10 minutes. It should have a choice for 10, 20 and 30 minutes.Second, these simply stop working after a few months. It's been suctioned to our glass door for months, not moved, and suddenly doesn't turn on. I think the button is what breaks.Got a refund for the first one, but the second one failed after the refund time limit expired. Fairly disappointing.

I bought this hoping my cats would really love it. I liked the idea of being able to hang it up high and thought it would give it a good range. But sadly the range it goes is a pretty small area and it really doesn't have much random movement as I thought it would. I have 11 cats and most of them would just sit and watch it because it was slow moving and even changing it to different random settings it just wasn't fast enough for them to want to chase it. I have a couple of other laser lights that have adjustable speeds and the course it goes is random and they prefer that one as it moves fast or slow and the pattern changes to keep them interested. Also the fact that it turns off after just a few minutes was a negative. Would be nice if it had a sensor and and as long as it picked up movement would keep going or a timer like others to set the amount of time you want them to play would be nice. I really did like the design but sadly it just didn't perform as I would have liked it too.

Nice patterns to join the nightly display!
Runs really smoothly, easy on batteries, good patterns - another part of the regular ‘disco’ evenings my babies enjoy!
