Detailed weight figures if interested
Awesome design, I plan to use for tree hunting and I like how it can lock out or be used with rubber bands to adjust the tention, but I likely won't need them for retrieving gear as once you have something it stay closed by the weight of the item. Too bad amusement park gift grabbers aren't designed like this! Decent enough carry bag, and total weight is 10.2 oz all in, or 7.7 oz if you skip the cross peice like I plan to as it works as gear retrieval fine without it.

Good quality, multi-purpose piece of gear
Haven't used yet, but seems sturdy, well designed and good quality. Should be a very useful multi-purpose item for kayaking (small anchor or mooring by the bank) and camping (stowing food on a branch, etc.). Just the right size to be useful & versatile. Disassembles flat & comes with a velvety carry-pouch. It has a small pin-latch to keep in the open position & comes with 4 o-rings to secure it in, but given the design it would be very easy to use any rubber band or light cordage in place of the o-ring. Very happy with it!

Broke in 5 minutes
My 10 year old was so excited to get this and within 5 minutes of light play it broke and is no longer usable. Disappointed in the lack of quality here so I am returning and buying a different one.

Flimsy product, broke immediately
The part holding the rope detached during the very first use - very flimsy! Yes, that will be relatively easy to fix with a bolt, but it should not have happened so quickly.

interesting tool. can see several possibilities where this could fill a hole in my kit(s). solidly built, good buy for those that want a this type of tool.

Good sturdy grappling hook
Feels very sturdy. Going to take it apart and lock tight all th bolts for extra security. All in all, it's a pretty bad a$$ addition to my gtfo bag.

works as described
Used this product to throw over high branches (tied to rope) to get my food safe during camping trip. It did get snagged and tested the durability and nothing I did caused any damage to it. Got wet....looked at it almost month later no rust, true stainless steel.
