Repitat REP001G Glow in the Dark Reptile Carrier with cover/Cover and Handle

Just received this reptile carrier today for Christmas. Purchased it to use as a portable cage for my new pet Uromastyx. It looks to be just what I needed as a small temporary transport (for play dates and the such). However, due to packaging, it showed up with the lid broken. Amazon is making good on it (as usual) and has another shipping to me. Appears to be a good product, packaged well in original packaging (can't say much for Amazon's overpack though), and just what I need. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I really want to love this carrier. It's close to wonderful, but a critical flaw makes it unusable for me: the opening in the lid does not snap tightly shut. The lid itself snaps on solidly. In fact, it's a bit of effort to take it off. In the center of the lid is a large, hinged door which would be delightfully convenient if it could be securely closed. However, it pops open with the slightest pressure. My juvenile uromastyx can easily push it open. I imagine that anything gecko-sized or larger could escape unless you tape the lid shut or put a weight on it. Such a shame.
