Easy to use, slows over time
I bought this for my small bonsai because I was going to be on vacation for nine days. They work really well. You don't need to do anything to start the siphoning process, just put the stick in the water and it starts on its own. It will only draw water on the first two thirds of the bottle though so keep an eye on your levels. I also noticed that over time, the flow rate slows down. After two months of continuous use, it is now watering too slowly, so I have purchased a 5-pack so I can replace these every few months. We have very hard water, so it might be that minerals build up in the material and keep it from working effectively.

Good product but there are some caveats worth knowing
The product does what it is supposed to. But there are some things worth knowing. The rate at which water drips from a single tube varies. It seems to slow down over time. Here are my measurements:1st 24 hours - 9 Fluid Oz.2nd 24 hours - 7 Fluid Oz.3rd 24 hours - 5.4 Fluid Oz.4th 24 hours - 5.2 Fluid Oz.The drip rate starts out fast like a drop every 15 seconds and eventually settles down to a rate of a drop about every 35 seconds. If I had to guess the cause of the rate slowing down over time, I might think it has to do with the drop in the water table of the reservoir.Expect some variation. I initially tried two syphons over a ten hour period. The rates at which they drew water similar - there was about a 10% variation. So if you had a large water supply next to your plant, expect that you would need 81 oz for a 14 day period. To play it safe, having a supply of close 100z would be better.I can't you that the measurements I took will match what you experience, but it's at least a guide. It is best if you do your own measurements before going away on an extended trip.I did not try daisy-chaining the syphons, so I can't say how well that works.I would add one more point. The product was shipped in a bubble/plastic envelop - and when shipped by USPS, it is clear that the packaging was folded, as the syphons arrived crimped. Fortunately, the product was still usable. The seller would do well to provide better packaging.

Clever and Effective
Needed my bonsai to be watered while I'm out for a few weeks. No longer have a pet, RIP, so there's no pet sitter to do it, either. This is a simple and effective way to get the job done. The daisy chain method for longer periods of time is smart.

Steady drip for your plants
I didn’t realize when I bought these that they were for bonsai plants. I have those plants also but not what I was buying these to water. Oh well. They do provide a small amount of water steadily through small drips so they work as intended.

Kept my bonsai alive for 2 weeks but it was not happy
You need a tall, fat container to hold the stick above the bonsai so the end will drip down onto the soil. For the two weeks, the wicking material drips faster and you will go through the water faster. I used limeade containers or 1.5 L bottles of soda and needed to daisy chain them together, meaning one dripped on the plant, but I needed another straw to re-fill that container from a second container. It was the only way I could have enough water for two weeks. You cannot control the drip rate, so I was worried about the water eventually overflowing my bonsai planter tray. I ended up putting it in the bathtub so excess water could drain out the bottom. Even then, the drip rate caused the soil to be constantly wet and many of my bonsai leaves were brown when I got back. It survived.

Simple and Easy
Simple and easy. It’s releases a drop every few seconds. Bought this to water my bonsai while I’m out of town for a week. We will see if it is enough to keep it alive but so far so good.
