It takes some getting used to, but it's a good and calming tool
I use my reMarkable to take notes, make sketches, and get away from lit screens to think, read, and ideate. The simple grayscale display is easy on the eyes and brings together the best of a digital and pen/pencil/paper experience. Comparatively heavy, cumbersome laptops are bad for the eyes and neck. The reMarkable is a break from all that. In its good (and less good) qualities, it reminds me of the first Apple Macintosh computers. I like its simplicity and the way it slows me down to think better, but it can be too slow. The monochrome display is terrific, but it does make me wish for a little color as an option at times. The digital paper technology is quite good. I've been waiting for it to develop to a level where my artist and designer friends are using it. They are using the reMarkable, so I knew it was time to get one.I'm still getting used to my reMarkable, but right away, I felt the touch interface response time was still a bit slow. Some of the gestures and interface take some getting used to. I don't mind the slow rendering that happens at times when you are scaling or cutting and pasting drawn or handwritten content. There can be a little smudginess until there's a full-screen reset, and it clears up, but I like how this is reminiscent of the messiness of paper.I have the keyboard but am not very impressed with how it feels, and I have not used it much. The reMarkable works well without the keyboard, but I'm not sure I will ever use it with Google Docs much. The typing/screen response can be slow, and the on-screen touch keyboard is not better. Using a stylus seems to be the most efficient and effective way to interact with the reMarkable.

Goodbye Notepads!
Hello to removing redundant sheets from lists. This pad is more important than my computer on most days. It eliminates the need for me to jot notes only to have to later annotate them in word or excel. I can email myself and take notes over photos or pictures which is huge. If you’re in sales or management buy this for you and your team. Well worthwhile.

Great paper like tablet
Very light weight, has a real paper feel while writing, and keeps a charge for days.

WiFi Defective
The WiFi is defective. It says it is connected, but it can’t check for updates, pair my account, or do anything else that requires WiFi. I have restarted my router and the tablet several times, tried other networks, and I’ve gotten nowhere. I also saw in other reviews that other people have had this exact problem. I would avoid this seller.

Great replacement for Notebooks. As long as it's new
I absolutely love this product. The only problem that I have with it is the fact that I should have bought it brand new instead of used. When it arrived, everything looked good. Except for the stylist. The tip of the stylist had a chip in it, which made the actual writing tip a little unstable. After nine months of use that chip got bigger and finally broke now, the whole stylist has to be replaced. Again, I absolutely love the product. I just should've bought it brand new even if amazon said it was certified pre owned. It does everything I need it to do. I have a laptop, and this for schoolwork, and it does the job for everything, without having to carry around a hundred differents notebooks.

Scam don't buy
The tablet came with someone else's data on it and the marker never worked with the pencil. Total scam.

Stylus unfortunately broke early on - hard to replace
I love the remarkable pad itself and have no quarrels with it after owning if for about 6 months. The problem I have with it is the stylus itself - admittedly a necessary part for usage of the pad. I noticed early on that a part of the plastic "cuff" that holds the stylus nib, had broken off. Another review (1star) shows a picture of having the same issue. I figured I could still use the stylus; I just had to be mindful of how I held the pen. Unfortunately - after a few months the rest of the cuff broke off and isn't giving the nib the necessary stability it needs. I unsuccessfully tried to replace the stylus with an off brand alternative. I guess I will have to replace it with anew if I want to keep using the. Remarkable - which after such a large investment is less than fortunate.
