So glad to find something I could use by myself and hold the bird at the same time. I hate bands on their legs, in case the leg gets bigger or they get it hurt they could lose a foot if you dont catch a infection in time. So my worries are over. Of course they used my hand as a chew toy while I cut the band off. But it was worth the pain in my hand to know my birds are safe now and cant get it hung up on something and break their leg or something. worked like a charm. Thanks for making such an effecient tool.

The band ( plastic ) on my Canaries leg was tight and he kept biting at it, I called and avian vet and the wanted $155.00 to cut it off!!!! I was told he needed an exam NO he didn't, I bought this and in seconds it was off, he is feeling so much better. I wish I didn't have to buy one with a higher price but my Tony Bennett is worth it.

You need to use a lot of pressure to get through band more than I expected. Worked just fine once you use whole hand to squeeze not just fingers.
