Not an easy subject to read about.
An interesting read from the perspective of true victims of abuse. Having worked with prisoners, who have committed sex offences, I was glad to see that it illustrates what I learned in training and through my experience about what victims may be told to ensure they comply. This became quite apparent in Charlene's memories of her previous abuse by a family friend, which made her feel that if she told an adult about it no-one would believe her and that it would only bring more trouble to her. One often reads comments made during similar news stories such as "why didn't they tell someone earlier?" Here we have an answer but there will be more.

Incredible
Excellently written. The courage and journey no child should have to endure.. The details and awfully terrifying ordeal of a evil sadistic sad individual with previous.. And like charlene said abuse comes in all sorts of ways.. It makes you wonder wjos out there. That "ordinary " man walking past you or like bert a "friend" of the family. So many manipulating people out there.. The consequences of there selfish abuse, to take a childs innocents and trust is to me the most evilist of all crime.. I wish the 2 ladys have a beautiful future and never to let that monster affect your life no more. The book is so compelling i felt when reading i was there in that stinky old flat. I couldnt put this down for long. I had to keep reading. And there is not many books that do that to me.

Check if it's a victim written book.
I unfortunately couldn't read this book, I didn't realise when I bought it it was actually written by the victims or the "survivors "of what I know is one of the most heinous crimes perpetrated against innocents, I'm full of admiration for them and that they're in a place to publish a book that I hope and pray was cathartic for them but I have no desire to travel with them. God bless them and well done to get this far but its not for me, and personally I would stress to people to investigate these sort of stories be for buying as it can be so very unsettling by the time you're a few pages in.

An Excellent Book
I really like the way this incredible story is told with both girls contributing. It's an excellent book about two school girls who come within an inch of their lives after being kidnapped, tortured and imprisoned, by a paedophile. It's a book that will have you on the edge of your seat gasping and raging one minute, and weeping the next.I have so much respect and admiration for those smart and courageous little people who against all the odds lived to tell the tale of how they survived one of the worst crimes of our times!Definitely recommended.

Wow amazing strength by two girl's
Such a touching and heart wrenching account of their horrifying experience, amazing strength within them both and their families. He expected to cry and shed many tears and also gasp at certain parts. The bravery of these two young ladies now shines through so they allow you in to share their difficult situation so you can experience it like they had.

Astounding!!!
I really don't have any memory of this kidnapping, I don't remember it on the news or in the papers. It's absolutely astounding what they went through, and how they managed to get through it. It saddened me that they fell out for a while and what happened in between. But to be there for each other now and still to have that bond is absolutely amazing. The terror they must have been going through is unimaginable, and the fear their parents must have felt. A great read, I liked how it was shared between them all the way through.

Snatched!
A true and well balanced, heartfelt account of your worst fears possible. The story is not sensationalised, but who shockingly factual! What those two young girls suffered is unthinkable. Thank goodness they have come through so well balanced a d have found happiness. This is something you can't warn your children about, they didn't talk to a stranger or willingly go with him! I wish them a long and happy life.

Such brave girls
This true story tells of great bravery, raw terror and a stolen childhood. A depraved and sick man who thought he could control and use two innocent girls. The long term effects on the families is explained in a very honest way. Two girls who experienced pure evil but overcame it differently before finding peace together

abducted, taken tortured terrified
It's hard to lose a child through disease or accident, even worse to lose them through abduction. It's great that these two girls made it back alive

An amazing true story
I was gripped from the start of the story, shocked at how easy it was to snatch not just one but two girls on there way to school, having followed the story on the news at the time I welcomed the chance to read their story & what an amazing story, two close friends whose friendship kept them sane & strong throughout their ordeal, a great read
