Helped focus during training
Another great work from Josh and Adam. While ALL of their books will help you get much much stronger, this specific focus DRILLS into the "why's" of training the major lifts as well as, programming for grappling. I personally train BJJ and KM, and have been able to bring that gained power from the iron to the mat, but I think all of these programs in this book will help in any martial artist/fighter. If you cant see the relationship between Deadlift/powercleans and takedowns/tackles, you probably havent done enough of either. Get this book, learn how more of each, helps the other.

A must read for any combat sports athlete.After suffering several grappling related injuries that have prevented me from competing, I decided to do myself a favor and pick up a copy of Grapple Strong. Since finishing the book and implementing many of the core exercises and philosophies into my weight training regiment, I am feeling much stronger and my body less prone to injury.If you're serious about your training, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book.Train hard, stay in the game and learn how to outlast your opponents on and off the mat.

Like all of Josh Bryant's works...
It delivers exactly what it says it will. The greatest single characteristic of his work is its utter simplicity in both content and techniques recommended. I have studied and practiced a lot of workout programs from the original RCAF's 5BX to my many years in the military and NCO academy's fitness training, multiple martial arts programs including boxing and wrestling, Beachbody programs, YAYOG, Pilates certification, and even Convict Conditioning. Josh's work is of them all the most straightforward and direct. I do not regret the earlier studies, but I am glad I found the works of Josh Bryant.

Good for all grapplers. Excellent discussion of the different types of strength and how to achieve each
While this book is mostly aimed at grapplers of all styles and techniques from collegiate to mixed martial arts, it is well and clearly written. The programs are well presented, possible and will achieve their goals. An extra strong part of the book is an extended discussion of the various types of strength and how to train for each.

Basic, simple, and most importantly...it works!!!
Great book that's full of tried and true, time tested information. Quality product like anything else put out by Josh Bryant. Not a lot of sizzle, but plenty of steak. He leads you straight to what truly works, and is a strong signal in a fitness world full of meaningless noise. No gimmicks or trendy information here.

Grappling wisdom
I like the workout routines, examples and pictures in the book. They help to build your own routine. This book was interesting to read.

Perfect Gift For The Grappler In Your Life
Bought this book as a gift for a friend. You would think I handed him a stack of singles in a strip club.A few of his major takeaways from this book were programming simplicity and when/how to change accessory exercises.

Great program- thank you josh Bryant !
I’ve used this program to reclaim strength for BJJ after years of powerlifting. It has been an excellent program that meets nicely in the middle of my strength needs and recovery from grappling. It has also been the program I’ve got my 14 year old using for the start of his lifting journey. He’s already grabbing the strength of 16 year olds in the gym that have been training for a couple of years, and he’s getting to be as big as some of the 20 year olds. The information in this book brings together all kinds of grappling and strength training methodologies I’m one place.
