Q: What batteries does this clock take?

A normal size aa battery (pencil battery)

Q: Hi is this clock silent? and does it keep the time?

No it makes a slight ticking sound but nothing too loud. It keeps time pretty well I think, only had it a few months though.

Q: Does it have a second hand? I can't see one in the picture.

It was a present for a 4 yr old so tbh I can’t remember seeing. If I find out there is one I will revise this answer but to be frank I doubt there would be one in a teaching clock aimed at a young age group

Q: Can you remove the clear plastic to colour/write on the clock inside?

The clock cover is actually made of glass. I know this because during our forced covid home-schooling, there was a clock launching incident, in which the clock flew across the room and, to my surprise, it smashed and glass sprayed the carpet and furniture. I spent hours collecting the tiny shards, but the clock now has no cover at all, and we can indeed write on its face. Alternatively, maybe you could write directly onto the glass with a wipeable marker?
