Didn't use for solar panels
My usage wasn't for solar, it was to fasten netting to the ground to cover blueberry bushes from the birds. These worked very well for that. Since they are thin, they were easy to push into the ground. The washer type of thing was good to hold the netting in place and not slip over the end. Overall, this was great for my usage and with 50 pieces I'll be able to cover the garden in netting as well.
