Great KVM if you deal with laptops at work.

Received my package quickly from Amazon. I do have another AV Access device called the iDockB30 but it's good for two desktops and a laptop and I wanted the one that can connect to two laptops to have as my work keyboard-video-mouse (KVM).It's easy to set up. Just two USB-C cables that go to the corresponding ports on the back of the iDockC20 and power. The other ends of the USB-C cables will go to the respective laptops. I'm a big Lenovo ThinkPad fan so I have a ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 AMD from my work and a ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 AMD as my personal daily driver. Turned on the unit and works well. Though the T14 had a little issue connecting but once I rebooted it worked fine. I'm able to press the switch on the docking unit to switch between the two with no issue.Looking over the build it looks solid, and the ports are labeled clearly so you know what device to plug into what. There are a decent number of ports in the back and the SD card reader is convenient to have since at my work place, I sometimes need to use the cards to read any external data. I tested out the network connectivity between the two by switching and it doesn't seem to lose the connection which is nice.Since the power distribution is 60W I would only recommend the KVM for use on business class laptops like the Lenovo ThinkPads. It would be advisable that if you are going to be connecting a gaming laptop on it like a Asus Strix G16 or a Lenovo Legion i7 having USB-C ports it will provide enough power if you plan to game on it. I would only use it for productivity work. I hope the next iteration of the USB-C ports on the docking unit will be like USB 4 or Thunderbolt 4/5 but for right now it suits to what I need to it do at my workplace.I do have dual monitors, and they worked great on them. No issue whatsoever since the monitors I have are 27-inch 1080P and a 32-inch 1440P.I have used it for quite a number of days, and I personally like the device. It is working great so far for me and does what I need it to do. Since I do IT work, I like the fact that I can plug in a second laptop and run through items without having to plug in a monitor etc.

All good after 2 months and 1,000+ input switches

After two months, I'm very happy with theC20 KVM. I'm connecting a Microsoft Surface 4 and Dell Latitude 5220 to a pair of MSI G274QPF monitors via HDMI, plus dongle-connected wireless mouse and keyboard. I switch between laptops a couple dozen times a day, and the laptops are undocked a couple times a week. i also switch to a third system via the input selector on the monitors. After two months of this the switch hasn't missed a beat.Be aware that the switch is picky about the laptop-to-switch cable. I tried to use my own high-charging USB-C cable but the switch didn't recognize it. Changed to the provided cables and it worked perfectlyThank you to Johnny in AVAccess tech support for helping with the cable issue and hooking me up with a remote control switch

I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID IN ANY FORM FOR THIS REVIEW

UPDATE #2 - REDUCED TO ZERO STARS....(if I could):The device has formally failed - the output for one monitor has stopped so now it is only supporting the remaining one monitor. The sporadic monitor turning off has slowed down so I think there is a basic problem in the design and the device is struggling to power monitors. This is causing (the remaining) monitor to continue to randomly turn off for 2-3sec as noted in my first UPDATE below. It is now on its way back to Amazon tomorrow!UPDATE #1- REDUCED TO ONE STAR.:This is an update after using the product for approximately 3 days.I have two laptops connected to two monitors, lets call them A & B. Periherals include a wireless, keyboard, mouse, headphones, and camera. This device is advertised as being able to fully handle this situation.Everything worked great the first day. Starting the second day, monitors (A or B) blank out for 2-3 seconds. This is at complete random and can be either monitor but never both. It will only be one monitor at a time that goes blank. The other monitor will work fine.In other words A will blank out for 2-3 secoonds while B stays working, then at a later time B will go blank for a few seconds while A is working just fne.I dont lose any work and it is just the monitor that will blank out for a few seconds. Incredibly annoying and I will be returning this for a better hub/switch.Also, this device is lying on top of my desk with no circulation problems but it still runs pretty hot.__________________________________________________________________________________________This is a great product. But its almost like eating a 5 star meal and then getting a bad dessert. I was going to give this 5 stars but had to take off two stars for the following:1. Why is there no separate contol switch provided with this device. Why do I have to keep reaching to the device to switch between devices. This is a really bad shortcoming for a device that costs more than $200.2. It is 2024, most devices use 5GHz for wireless connectivity. There is no reason for a USB 2.0 port anymore. Yes 2.4GHz interferes with USB 3.0 but 5.0GHz does not interfere with USB 3.0. The USB 2.0 ports on this device should be replaced with USB 3.0.
