but the cats always get bored with them quickly
I have three cats at home, and we have two office cats where I work. I bought this for my cats, and all of them went nuts over it — even my cat who isn't very playful. So I bought another one for the office cats. They go crazy for it, too! I've since bought this for my mom's cat, a friend's cat, and backups for home and work. My mom thought her cat just wasn't very playful; now the cat insists on playing with her fishing-pole toys at least twice a day. I've never bought a cat toy that EVERY CAT I KNOW goes absolutely crazy for! It's magical.I've bought all kinds of fishing-pole-style toys over the years, but the cats always get bored with them quickly. Not these! I think it's because this toy has of a combination of two things: First, the cats can't see the fishing line, so they can't predict where the toy will go. Second, the long, lightweight pole gives great bounce to the toys. Whatever it is, I recommend this to anyone who wants their cat to be more playful!TIP: If your cat plays too rough (or if your dog gets to the fishing pole) and the pole breaks, just tape it together with duct tape. Still works perfectly!

Our cats love these
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. What we love:• Great variety of things to clip onto the wands.• Heavy-duty line that hold up to some very rough play• Retractable for when play time is over• Light weight so our hands and arms don't get tired over an hour-long session• Wands are sturdy enough for cats to really pull without the parts snapping• Two wands so we can play with two cats at the same time when they won't shareWhy I didn't give it 5 Stars:• Immediately when we opened these, one of the metal tip at the end of the pole that holds the line and toy pulled off. Never even got to play with it before I needed to repair it.• The tip on the second pole popped off during our first play session when one of the cats grabbed it mid-jump.In both cases, I was able to slip the metal tip back onto the pole and use a pair of pliers to crimp it more securely onto the pole. Since doing that, we have had hours of very rough play without any further failures.

My cats adore these and so do we!
This is the best $13 I ever spent on my kittens! Whoever designed these clearly understands fishing... and cats! The "poles" are extendible, flexible fishing rods made just like real fishing rods, without the reel. The "lines" are legitimate fishing line (hard for kitties to damage, easy to replace if they do). I love that you get two rods in the pack, as it makes it possible to play with both my cats at once. But the best part of the whole deal is the delightful and well-designed selection of attachments–the toys themselves. My cats LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE, but they each have a favorite, which makes it fun to play with them both at once because they don't get distracted by each other's toys. Each of the toys is designed with the cats' psychology in mind, with interesting textures and colors and shapes. But they're clearly created by fly fishers, who know how to tie flies. Not only are they interesting in their own right, the way they MOVE at the end of the line is wildly attractive to my cats. One of them spins when you pull it through the air. Another wiggles on the hardwood floor in a way that drives my hard-to-please little girl to fits of delight. She actually hisses at her brother if she thinks he might take it from her–and she usually lets him play first with everything! We had a wonderful Christmas this year, but for the money, this is probably the best purchase I made. So much fun for everyone, and I can tell they will last a long time and give us tons of fun playtime.

He loves it!!! Fantastic toy and a great bargain given the variety:>
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. We just bought this for our cat ,Tank. He has another wand toy with a deer hair mouse that he loves dearly (no pun intended), but I thought he was getting bored so I decided to try this given the wide variety of attachments. I never thought anything could surpass his love for the mouse, but the dragonfly has done it!!! He used to carry the mouse toy around with him, but now just brings this to us play instead, never giving the mouse a second glance. I think the flexibility of the wand creates a more realistic movement and he just can't get enough of it. Even if we get tired of playing, I can just prop it under my leg and he will still play. I should mention, we do keep it put up when we are not with him as there are small pieces which can come off and he is a big boy and tends to demolish his toys. The dragonfly has held up very well thus far, even with his rough play:>

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My little destroyer of worlds, kitty o’ doom has been through numerous wands and teasers. Most of those teasers have the duck-like feather. The little void is not fond of duck-like feathers. He just half heartedly bats at it. So I went on a hunt for a cheaper wand that had the lowest amount of that type of refill.I will freely admit that I was not sure how the little kidiot would feel about these toys, they are not like the typical wand toys. But I figured it was worth a shot, if anything I’d end up with two rods. Since the meowybutt is pretty rough on the toys, I can always use spare ones. Some of the refills are quite a bit larger than I expected. The dragonfly one is particularly large and has a bit of weight to it. Skitty kitty smacked it a few times, the toy swang back and bonked him on the head, and he promptly decided he hated it. That’s ok though, every cat has its own little quirks about what they like and what they don’t. I cannot blame the company for that, the blame lies with my little weirdo fur ball. All in all, I think it’s a really good value buy. I don’t expect it to live long, my monster kitty is particularly rough on his toys. I imagine that, if your cat or small dog is not psychotic when playing, the attachments and the wand will last you quite awhile.I played with the new rod for about an hour tonight. The video is him being exhausted, but still flopping around on the floor to get the toy. That is a sign of a winning lure in his book.

My cat is OBSESSED with this toy.
My cat, who is usually a little lazy fluffer, wants to play with this toy 24/7. If you love being woken up at 4 AM with the cat in your face wanting to play, this is the toy for you! He is so obsessed with this toy, that I had to sit him down and have an intervention. It didn’t work. He still wakes me up. I’ve learned to hide it at night so I don’t get woken up. He’s losing some weight with it!Only thing I’d recommend to the company is the ability to purchase the refills on their own as the wands are very sturdy and well built.

Cheap and waste of money
Badly made. I should have listened to the other reviews on here and not gotten this. Small parts are hot glued to every cat toy, which is dangerous and the rest of the toy is flimsy. Not worth the plastic it’s made out of.

My cats can’t get enough!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Absolutely loved by my cats!!!You can tell these are NOT factory maid, as they have very fine details and are incredibly durable!! I particularly liked that it came with 2 wands, and the carrying case is a nice touch. 🙂 I would highly recommend.

Extremely Well Made For Hours of Fun
We actually purchased this for our dog as he enjoys them so very much and he spends hours playing and chasing the attachments around. It is such an amazing value and the quality and workmanship is above and beyond anything I was imagining !!!
