Very informative and easy to read. The handbook is well written and illustrated. It is easy to follow and is to the point about how our equine friends are made.Great for a young breeder, beginner judge and equine care professional.

Excellent book

This is a big book physically, 8.5 X 11 inches and 387 pages. There are hundreds of drawings and photographs to support the text. This book is comprehensive. It is a quality production. The glossary is eight pages (about 500 descriptions). There is a good index is you want to dip into the book.It is a book to be read continuously, absorbing a little with every read. You need this book on your shelf.

I love this book, from the illustrations to the detailed information about a horses conformation and the problems certain faults can cause.I would highly recommend this book if you are going to buy a horse, and how to live with, and support certain conformation problems.

Well, I was trying to get a better understanding of horse mechanics and conformation and bought several books and videos. This is the only one that had what i was looking for. Not only is it complete, its also very well written and easy to understand even for a non-pro. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand what physical characteristics denote long term soundness and greater athletic potential. Of all the books / videos i've bought on the subject, this one is worth all the others put together and more.

Just my opinion would have liked more illustrations. Othetwis a good box

I'm very impressed with this book. I'm finding it very interesting, it's well written and easy to understand.It was also a much larger book than I had imagined it would be when I ordered it, great value and a great book.
