Chunky, Loud, Packs a hell of a punch. I like it.
She's a little chunky, a bit loud, but she packs one hell of a punch. We use her in a 42m2 room (over it's 28m2 capacity) and it still does a great job of bringing the temp down in high. We also use her in a 24m2 room, it brought the temperature down by appx 2degrees per 30 minutes. *room temp was 27c, target was 16c. App's decent to use, pairing to wifi was easy, so if you've got it in a more permanent setup, you can turn it on when you're about to set off from work (or set a timer) and return to a nice cool room.

Great Air Conditioner, but be aware not quiet at all
This is a great quality product. Love the design. Has a nice app, which lacks features though (like easy to setup ordinary timer which countdown with nice illustrative graphic arch, or dark mode for example). Pairing should be also simpler (doesn't work without Bluetooth on) but otherwise works well and is useful as a remote control (but can't used all the features fully yet). Dehumidifier works well as well if the room temperature is above 15C. The only thing I want to warn potential buyers about is that indoor air cons are loud (between 54-65dB) so cannot be advertised as whisper quiet. I don't think people can watch TV next to this aircon (unless you put sound very high or use a noise cancelling headset) or sleep peacefully. But, for example you can put it in adjacent room or in a corridor and then it's fine. So just bear that in mind. Quiet would be below 40dB and no indoor aircon can do that at this time AFAIK. Also the sleep mode doesn't lower the fan speed - it's the low speed, but to loud. One improvement I would suggest would be to have 3rd "slow/quiet" fan speed. At the moment the 2 fan speeds are just too powerful. Even the slow fan speed is just too powerful. Alternatively, free noise cancelling headphones could be packed with the unit? ;) Also it's heavy, but once at home, who cares it's on wheels.

Love at first sight! Worth every penny
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 If I could give this 10 stars, I would. Absolute game-changer. Bought just before summer and it’s been life-changing for both me and my cat (who claimed it as his personal bed from day one. Tip: keep the box). If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for your pets as they’ll love you even more. The unit has everything you’d want: remote control, app control, timer, and easy on/off scheduling. It’s simple to use and works best by a window. Lowest 15 degrees Celsius, to 30. Can use all year around, cleaner air, purified air and real air conditioning. The hose expands well (1.5–2m), but I highly recommend getting the window cover as it keeps insects out and means you can leave the window open year-round. Performance is excellent: cools quickly, easy to move around, and surprisingly quiet on sleep mode. Honestly worth every penny. My only regret is not having a referral code as I’ve got this onto 5+ people! Overall: flawless product. Reliable, powerful, and pet-approved.

Noise, cooler, no thermostat.
So heavy. Portable is a stretch, if you’re a single female, you will been help to carry. It’s got some noise, but I don’t exactly mind that.. no louder than just having multiple fans blowing warm air on you. Feels a lot colder in the bedroom. That said, I couldn’t tell you what temperature it is.. because it doesn’t show me??? An air cooler… that can’t show me how cool the temperature is? Going to run it for a few days, and then probably get a a vent drilled in to the side of my house, in the spare room. I think it’ll keep the upstairs cool of a small terraced house. Tried sleep mode… and it just turns the fans down, but that just means you can hear all the other weird noises. Think I prefer the noise of a fan. £400? I’m not convinced yet, but I’m sure I’ll appreciate it tonight, in this heat.

The ideal mid-priced portable air con unit
We last bought a portable air conditioning unit 15 yrs ago (not a Meaco), and still consider it to be one of our best ever purchases, but we decided to replace it as modern units are smaller and more efficient. We have not been disappointed! This Meaco MeacoCool Pro is far better than our old unit; it is more powerful and yet smaller, and is a neat, attractive unit to sit in any room. It cools our bedroom very quickly in advance of bedtime. Portable air con units are never quiet, but this one is significantly quieter than our old one, and even with the old one the noise did not disturb our sleep. This new unit has a "sleep mode", which quietens the fan and dims the display - very helpful. The Meaco has all the functionality you would expect - it has a timer to set it for when to turn on or turn off ( we usually set it to turn off 2hrs after we go to bed), a remote control and better yet, it can be controlled via your phone using the Meaco app, which was a doddle to set up. The two alternative window seals provided are the ideal solution to stop warm air coming back in through an open window and so make the unit more efficient and cheaper to run. I used the flexible one because we have a hinged window, and it was very quick and easy to fit and forms a great seal. The length of the power cable and exhaust tube are perfect, and the lightness of the exhaust tube makes it much easier to manipulate into place the the thicker, more rigid on in my old unit. I was impressed to see that the Meaco comes with spare bungs, and a drainage tube - a feature lacking on my old unit that is a great addition. I also like that the Meaco warns you via the screen that it is time to drain. My old unit just stopped working and beeped all night once it was full. In terms of portability, it is very easy to move from room to room because it has smooth castors, even over thick carpet, but the unit is heavy so moving it up or down stairs is a bit of a chore. Having said that, I'm 69 and I took it upstairs without drama using the hand-hold recesses on either side of the unit. In summary, the Meaco MeacoCool Pro is attractive, efficient, relatively quiet, reasonably portable, has great functionality and is relatively cheap to run. I definitely recommend it.

Very powerful cooling unit, but the fan is loud
With warm weather approaching I made the jump and purchased this portable air-con unit about three weeks ago. It arrives in a single cardboard box and was quite weighty to lug up the stairs, at around 20kg. It's very easy to set up, there are only a few parts in the box, and the supplied window kit and seal is easy to put together. I especially like that you get a window adaptor for unconventional windows too - we have awkward outward-hinged windows so I was worried that we wouldn't be able to use the seal, but it's been great. The unit comes with touch-sensitive controls on the top and a smartphone app, and I've found that we use the former most often. The app was easy to set up though, and the wi-fi connection means I can control the unit remotely if I'm in another room. The cooling power has blown me away - ours is set up in our bedroom, and a 30-minute blast of cool air before going to bed is enough to lower the temperature in the room by several degrees. I'd say watch out for the noise, because this unit is loud. I don't think we could sleep if it was on all night, even on the lowest fan setting. And although we only use it in short bursts, I haven't seen a big jump in my electricity costs. Top tip - let it sit for about 12 hours before switching it on, because moving it into position will have shifted the refrigerant inside.

best purchase of my life
this must have been the best purchase in my life so far. yes it is a bit loud, but its minor inconvinience at the price of relief from nasty heat.
