Another great story in the Winchester adventure
As I am a huge supernatural fan I own every book that goes along with the series including all the novels and the companion books. The Titan novels are well written and read just like a usual episode and the authors obviously are familiar with the characters as they have the characteristics of Sam and Dean Winchester down to a t. These books are highly entertaining and do have an element of Horror to them so unless you are aware of the Supernatural series you might not want to purchase these books. I have been very happy with all my novels and this one is no different. The only downside I see is that once I have read the book I don't really see the point in keeping it so I would like to swap it for something else.

Very ho-hum
Very poorly written. Characters not true to their tv versions. The writer seems to over describe to fill space until the next action set piece. The plot is also easily decipherable. I'm a huge Supernatural fan and was really looking forward to reading this but was disappointed.

Supernatural tie in book
First tie in books in this series that I have read.Good story touches in passing on an episode of the first series. But you don't need to have seen it.Nice twist and turn.Characters read true to the series I would recommend.

Worst I have read so far
Nothing like the other books of supernatural just couldn't get into the story. Too much time telling how blue the sky was and how green the trees were. If you like that sort of thing thats fine

Fantastic!!
I have read all of the tie in books and have to say this is my favourite out of the lot! It is a fast paced and gripping story that brings the boys (and Bobby) alive. Couldn't put it down and finished it in one day!

guter Supernatural Roman

Top!

Cool instrumental tune by two performers and a singer
(1846年のカリフォルニア移民、ドナー隊のエピソードが含まれています)It was an unexpected and welcome, my favorite type that related natural disaster.Trio acts all together, don't miss the great fun!I hope the last chapter was longer, especially after putting an end to everything.... Shall I add some on the blank pages? :)

Beware Of Mother Nature
Alice Henderson threw everything in this novel except for the kitchen sink. First, there's another Wendigo on the loose. For a brief moment, this reader believed that Henderson was trying to make a massive apology for the poorly written script of SUPERNATURAL titled "Wendigo" and make a story focusing on this elusive creature. The wendigo was just a small part of the novel filled with vampires, an aswang, kick-ass senior citizens, enthusiastic hunters, monster eggs, a nosey forest ranger and mother nature threatening to obviate the Winchesters and good old Bobby. The historian for this novel placed the events in the 7th season, but it felt like Season 2. If you are looking for Dean and Sam to have brotherly moments, forget it. It was the Sam and Bobby show for the majority of the novel and Dean connects with everyone in need of help. FRESH MEAT is a thrilling, richly detailed novel with twists and turns throughout. I couldn't put the novel down.

A bit better
I have read every Supernatural book that has come out. And most have greatly disappointed me. As I started reading this one I felt once again I was going to be disappointed. It starts out slow, well not slow as in action. That is one thing this book doesn't lack. Action. Sam, Dean and Bobby might as well have been the 'Avengers'.It got better and by the end of the book I realized I had enjoyed it somewhat. However it didn't 'feel' like the boys. First off as a previous review mentioned, there were mistakes. Dean never stabbed Sam, and any fan of the show knows that. Secondly they could have inserted 3 robots for all the feeling they had. There was NO character development at all. It was like 3 strangers teaming up to hunt together. I honestly got the feeling that the author had never seen an episode of the show. Just read a few scripts to get some background on the boys and Bobby.Sam, Dean and Bobby literally got the crap beat out of them non stop for the entire book yet none of them even acknowledged it or slowed down. 3 stars might even be a bit much for me. Someday a writer is going to go back and WATCH the show from the beginning. Then hopefully we will have a book worthy of the boys.

Well worth a read!
I never expect much from TV tie-in novels – more often than not, they’re badly written, uninteresting, or the characters bear little resemblance to their TV counterparts. So, as usual, I started reading “Fresh Meat” with very low expectations. The first third of the book had me sighing, “Okay. Another waste of money,” because the author included a lot of painfully long clumps of backstory that we as fans already know. The book is set early in Season 7, prior to Bobby’s death, when Sam is still dealing with Hallucifer and Castiel is presumably dead – so for page after page we have Dean, or Sam, mentally recalling the events of the first several episodes of the season (including the agonizing Amy saga), with no new insight into any of it. Yes, there were several action sequences, but they passed by quickly, in favor of more mopey backstory. Then…Apparently, the author cracked open a six-pack of Red Bull. From about the midway point through the end of the book, the action moves at a rip-roaring pace. The boys and Bobby fight their way from one harrowing challenge to another – and I’ll point out to my fellow fans, if it’s “whumpage” you’re looking for, this book is where you’ll find it, in spades! Sam, Dean, and Bobby are all battered, kicked, sliced, impaled, crushed, frozen, nearly suffocated… (Though, true to the TV series, they recover from each life-threatening injury in a miraculously short time.)The original characters didn’t quite satisfy me; the author sacrificed getting into their heads in favor of continuing the action, and I’m sure that’s fine for most readers. We don’t find out anything new about Sam, Dean, or Bobby, either - but again, the breakneck pace of the last part of the book will keep you reading, and you won’t worry about how Dean is dealing with the loss of Cas, or what’s going on with the Leviathans. There’s a mystery involved, a great new monster, considerable amounts of gore, our boys being smart and inventive – it’s tough to ask for more. (All right, chopping out a bunch of the backstory would help, but I won’t quibble.)Long story short: do I recommend this book? Heck yes! If you’re patient with that first third (go ahead, skim through it), you’ll be rewarded with that blazing second half. Enjoy!

A wild ride!
Wow, this book was pretty intense. If I hadn't already known that Dean, Sam, & Bobby had to survive, I would've thought this book would be the end for them. A lot of good twists & turns & fights, this book is perfect for any Supernatural fan. I'm really glad I bought it.

Like Watching An Episode of the Show
(No Spoilers) The main monster is a new one, as in never showed in the T.V. show, and it is pretty awesome to say the least. The boys, along with bobby, don't do or say anything out of character, and their is always action happening. This was my first SPN book, actually it was my first FanFic book, and I would definitely recommend it. Have even recommended it to my girlfriend already. The only down side to this book is it wasn't edited the greatest. I caught quite of few mistakes, but not enough to bother me too much. They repeat a few of phrases, "got their bearings" and "was greatfull that he...." is in their like 10 times each, which can get a little annoying, but other than minor mistakes it's a good book.

Not Exactly Winter Wonderland!
Whoa. The boys really worked a doozy of a case. Set before they have to ditch the beloved Impala, Sam and Dean deal with an amazing set of monsters. An Aswang, a Philippine monster a cross between a vampire and a dragon. I can definitely see why this character is not a character that could be put on screen without a budget and with a Canada based crew on the CW's budget its not going to happen. Heck they made Dragons shapeshifter and barely showed them depicted in their true forms. With a chaotic winter setting, Sam, Dean & Bobby have their hands full. A great read! B+

Could Of Been Better But It Was a Great Read Non The Less
I really like the story though I felt the plot could have been better it seemed like the Wendi-go angle held a lot significance only for it to be a let down. I expected the villain to reveal a long and fascinating tale that would explain everything but what the writer did instead was equally enjoyable. All in all though the writer gave the readers a truly intelligent and dangerous villain that comes closer to killing the boys than even the baddies from the TV series. Not going to lie that made up for a lot.

Fresh meat
This was a great book. I don't know why they didn't use it in the series on tv. You see the brothers trying to get their relationship back after Sam gets his soul back, and Dean is still trying to figure out why casteal (sp?) betrayed him and how he has been unwilling to help them anymore. Then they are hunting not just the demon they knew, they are going against a demon that is far more dangerous than the other demons and they don't know how to kill it. I liked the book a lot. Supernatural fans will enjoy this book.

It didn't completely suck
This book was alright. Not great, not even good, but just alright. It was a bit chaotic, the boys spent a little too much time going back and forth, back and forth. It seemed as if half the book was them going out into the woods, fighting a creature, only to get hurt, go to the hospital, then head back out into the woods to do it all over again. Not the mention, there was another storyline with vampires, that made NO sense at all. WHY would a group of vampire travel all the way into the mountains, up onto some sheer cliffs, just to try and kill the Winchesters? I can even understand an ambush in the city, but even this plot point was odd. It was as if the author went 'wait a minute, I should put something else in there, something about vampires....' It just felt as if the book was written without having been plotted out first. But like I said, it didn't completely suck.

Best read!!
This was my first Supernatural book to read from my favorite tv series. The boys and Bobby were like the tv characters on tv. Plus Bobby had a big part in the story. SMILE!!!! It was full of action pack, drama and mayhem! I had a hard time putting the book down. Each page was a turner and kept you interested in the full adventure!! The writer Alice Henderson did a great job in putting the story together. I am looking forward to the next read. It is well worth the money spent on it. You will LOVE it!!

good one
I enjoyed reading the story. Lots of action and it took place in an area that I'm familiar with in Northern California. I have one issue with the author in her writing. It's not Sierra Nevadas. It is Sierra Nevada. There is no s on the end. So when you write about a place next time make sure you're writing it correctly.
