This adaptor arrives in a small easy to recycle plastic bag. Both of the parts are made from aluminum and feel nicely solid. More than strong enough to withstand the rigours of some airsoft or a day at the range.Though it doesn't come with any instructions. Which for experienced rifle owners probably wouldn't be an issue. But I wanted to use this to add a sling to a homemade sci-fi style cosplay prop rifle.The simple reason being a sling would allow me to 'strap' the rifle rather than carrying it. Either to free up my hands, when moving through crowds of people or simple comfort. Fortunately there's loads of instructional videos on YouTube and similar websites.Which, in short (for real and airsoft rifles), is an installation process that's usually simple. Especially for rifles which already have a swivel bolt on the foregrip. Firstly remove the existing swivel bolt on the rifle.Then put on the plate in this pack. Now screw in the swivel bolt with the one in this pack. Which, as well as allowing me to use a sling, would also allow me to mount a bipod.Obviously, as is common when making cosplay props, I have to get creative. But drilling out a suitable sized hole for the swivel bolt in the pack is hardly difficult. Or I could use some 2 part epoxy glue and simply glue the bolt and adaptor plate on.Which, once again, wouldn't be hard because the adaptor plate has a soft rubber pad underneath it. Or I might even do both.Either way or however I use this, this is a good high quality item at a fair price.
