High-quality, reliable companion for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors or in wet conditions.
The first thing I noticed about this backpack is its sturdy construction. Made from heavy-duty, puncture-resistant PVC material, it feels incredibly durable. The exterior has a matte texture, which not only looks sleek but also provides a bit of grip. The seams are heat-welded, ensuring no water can sneak through. The backpack is designed with comfort in mind. The padded shoulder straps, chest strap, and wide waist strap distribute the weight evenly, making it comfortable to wear even when fully loaded. The back panel is also padded with breathable fabric, which helps a lot during long hikes. Performance-wise it's awesome. I took it on a kayaking trip, and despite some significant splashes and even a brief submersion, everything inside remained absolutely bone dry. The airtight zippers are a bit of a challenge to operate, but they do their job exceptionally well. It's a trade-off I'm willing to accept for peace of mind that my gear will stay dry. The backpack offers ample storage with its 30L capacity. Inside, you'll find various zippered and mesh pockets, including a fully padded laptop compartment. There's even a smaller, matching dry bag included, perfect for organizing smaller items or electronics. The front zippered pocket and two side pockets provide additional storage options, although I agree with other reviewers that the side pockets could use a drain hole for condensation. The backpack comes with several thoughtful extras, including zipper lubricant, which is essential for maintaining the watertight zippers, and a set of cooling cravats, which were a pleasant surprise. The D-rings on the front are great for attaching additional gear. The primary downside is the stiffness of the material. While it ensures durability and waterproofing, it can make accessing the inner compartments a bit cumbersome. The zippers, although effective, require significant effort to open and close, which can be frustrating when you need to get to your gear quickly. To summarize, The KRONOX Waterproof Backpack is a high-quality, reliable companion for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors or in wet conditions. Its robust construction and excellent waterproofing make it the primary choice for kayaking, hiking, or even commuting in the rain. While the stiff material and tight zippers are minor drawbacks, they are outweighed by the backpack's overall performance and durability. If keeping your gear dry is a top priority, this backpack is definitely worth considering. Highly recommended, and it definitely gets 5 stars in my book!

Kronox waterproof backpack
This backpack is amazing! I've been using roll top dry bags for years, but this is my first waterproof, zippered backpack and I'm in love! The body of the pack is made out of extremely heavy duty, puncture resistant, and yes... stiff, PVC type material. It's slick in the inside of the bag, but beautifully matte textured on the outside. I ordered the steely blue grey with orange zippers and black trim.It has a padded shoulder straps, a chest strap, waist strap, and back padding. I mean, what's not to love already? Then there's the front waterproof zippered pocket, the two open topped side pockets, and the main body of the bag with its heavy duty waterproof zipper. Still on the outside, you have a very sturdy nylon handle that's beautifully stitched and applied to a reinforced section directly on the top of the bag for easy grab and go carrying. There are also 4 D-rings on the front of the bag where you can easily tie off or bungee things that don't need to be kept dry.On the inside you'll find a zippered mesh pocket on the inside front, a fully padded (Yes, fully! Sides, front, back, and bottom!) Laptop pocket on the inner back of the bag. On the front of the laptop pocket is a second zippered mesh pocket. As an accessory item they include a protective tablet pouch that fits comfortably down into the padded laptop pocket. The tablet pouch has a zippered opening, two carry handles, and is not padded. Note: The tablet pouch zipper is the only one that isn't waterproof as it's meant to be carried inside the backpack.I will say that these waterproof zippers are the hardest zippers I've ever opened or closed. This is because they're waterproof. The bag comes with some zipper lube, which will help, but understand that easy zippers don't keep out water. Period. If you hike, bike, Kayak, or pretty much anything else where you might get rained on, go through water, or otherwise get wet I highly recommend this backpack! Again, I've used roll top dry bags for years, but I'll never go back now that I have my Kronox. This is the King (or Queen) of the crop as far as I'm concerned. It's a premium product with a premium price tag, but if you've ever fallen in a river and spent a night sleeping in wet clothes because your traditional backpack got wet then you'll understand what I mean when I say that this bag is worth every single penny.

HOW DRY I AM!
I so wanted to give this KRONOX Waterproof Backpack for Men - 30L IPX7 Submersible Dry Bag a five star rating. I snatched this up from the Vine specifically for a very large stand up paddle board that I also snagged off of the Vine. Great choice folks! The materials used are very waterproof and are fairly stout so it should last a long time. The design is well thought out and the manufacturing top shelf. It does have some considerable weight to it. Besides the waterproof feature it also serves as a backpack and a well done one at that. The shoulder straps and the rear of the bag are heavily padded with breathable fabrics and satisfying softness. They offer a very large range of adjustment. They have a cross chest strap AND a wide belly strap with clips. Amazing, right? Inside the bag are many different storage options available to you. Lots of zippered and webbed pockets and compartments. A little clumsy getting into the inner space due to the stiffness of the material its made from and the way you have to fold the opening flap. But again, amazing and varied storage inside. And inside you will find a bunch of extras that are just icing on the cake. There are a set of cravats for keeping your neck cool. Another smaller matching dry bag with waterproof zippers and carry handles. And even some zipper grease-which you will definitely need. The zippers are very tight but that is so the waterproof feature is just that-waterproof. The zippers come equipped with strong T-pulls to make their use easier, gives a better grip. You will still have to use some muscle though. But have no fear, they're quite stout. There are some d-rings on the front to clip stuff to. My one suggestion and possibly the reason for not having that fifth star has to do with the side pockets. The pockets need a drain for water/condensation, like a grommet or just a very small port. Otherwise the side pockets collect standing water. Everything else is so spot on! And yes, it is perfect for my paddleboard where the bungee bands netting lives. I can take everything I need and everything I could ever want with me without worries. How dry I am!

Not very big but works as described
This backpack was smaller than I was hoping. Because of the water resistant material, it is actually quite stiff and does not expand very easily. I got this bag to put clothes in for kayaking and also brought it to a running race to put extra layers in as well. It zips tight and then almost suctions shut creating the water resistant seal which worked wonders. It then requires a bit of a tug to get the bag open again. I’ve never had anything like it so I was a little intrigued to find that it came with a bottle of lubricant which you are supposed to apply to the zipper to keep it functioning properly. Overall great product but I just can’t fit as much in it as I would like.

Good quality and attractive bag - the side water bottle pockets could be bigger
This is a good quality and attractive waterproof backpack suitable for hiking in the rain or in activities where you expect a lot of water splashes. The rubbery material is heavy and sturdy, much more so and stiffer than other roll top dry bags I have - it holds its shape right out of the box just as shown on the product page photo unlike most other softer bags that arrive crumpled. The shoulder straps are wide and well padded although it's a medium and softer padding, not as thick as some of my other similar size (not dry) packs. There are chest and waist straps plus a lift handle on top.Like it that there are two zipped compartments, one smaller in front and the main large one. The zippers are seriously tight due to being waterproof - it's a workout to pull them open or shut. The main compartment zipper only goes one way - I guess to prevent leaks where two zipperheads meet. There are two side pockets for water bottles - however they are flat, small and not stretchy (same material as rest of bag) - when bag is not full a bottle with an 8.5-inch circumference or skinnier can fit. That for me is a drawback because this is not a bag you'd want to open and close all the time due to the tight zippers so it's an inconvenience if the side pockets are too tight. Hence the 4 star rating but aside from that - and maybe the somewhat high price tag - this is one of the better dry bags especially if you don't like roll top versions. Also comes with 3 gaiters/headbands which is a bonus.
