Cool spidey shooter for bday gifts
I ordered this spidey web shooter for the Spiderman fan and friend's birthday. It fits on a kids wrist well, and I saw him launch the "web" string and it shot out about 8 feet straight before falling because he shot it into the air. Then it retracted quickly and easily. The wrist strap and shooting string seemed solid and didn't break when using so far. It was really fun to watch and he loved it.

Awesome part of my Spiderman costume!
This toy is really cool, and it works! Not perfectly, and not without adjustments along the way, but I was able to play with it enough to get it to stick to things with the suction cup, and that was pretty fun the first time I did it. The device is made pretty well, it's plastic but doesn't feel super cheap, and I think it will last as long as you are careful with it. It does seem like it is made more for kids, as the wrist strap is on the small side. I am a grown man, not a very 'thick' person, but my arms and wrists aren't tiny, and I can just barely get the wrist strap to reach all the way around. Also, the glove they include, which is cool, is a bit too small for my adult sized hands--My hands are sort of thick, and for example, it usually takes a bit of effort to get those standard medical type of nitrile gloves on, and they are tight on me. They do stretch, but halfway in I decided to take them off and save them for Halloween. Plus, as Peter Parker, I don't really want the gloves to be showing all the time, do I? ;-)So, the reason I only gave the shooter 4 Stars instead of 5 is because the device doesn't work perfectly every time... At first, I couldn't shoot anything, because it turned out that the string was sort of caught up and twisted around the mechanism inside. So, I had to open the cover, which is very easy, and then I could see that the string was wrapped around one of the spools and caught up. It was easy to fix, you can just pull on the string from the outside and draw it out, and once you have it all out, you can just put the cover back on and hold down the button to retract it. Make sure you put the cover back on before you retract it, because it is what holds the string inside---You'll figure that out once you start playing with it. So once you figure it out, and understand the mechanism and how it works, you are ready to go--And again, I got it to stick to the wall, and had some good fun with it, but after a few shots it got jammed up again, and so I just had to take off the cover, realign the string, and it was good to go again. For my purpose of using it for a Halloween costume, it will work great. I'll just surprise people once in a while, like when they are wondering why I seem to be dressed simply as a preppy young kid lol. For an actual kid, who wants to play continuously with it, there will be a slight learning curve, where they get familiar with how to unjam it and get the string lined back up again. It comes with a magnet that you can have alone on the tip of the 'dart', and this way lets you shoot it pretty far and fast. You can also attach a little suction cup with its own magnet onto the tip, and it doesn't shoot as far, but you can get it to stick to the wall or flat surface, and that is pretty cool to see.Now I just need to get a Spiderman shirt that I can wear under my Peter Parker costume so I can also pull open my shirt at the top to expose it... :-)

Web gets tangled
This was great for the first couple of days then the “web” got tangled up and has been hard to use since.Such a creative idea, it comes out fast until it got tangled now it works just not very well. The kids really enjoy it

Web shooter
I do not recommend this. It is made super cheap and does not work well at all. Save your money on this one.

Sticks to a variety of things but packs a punch
The media could not be loaded. The combination of the suction cup and magnet gives you a variety of things to “stick” to. The web retraction is a neat feature. Although it might work for spider-people of all sizes, the included glove is definitely small and probably spider-child sized. The wrist strap will fit medium and small wrists, but not large wrists. Spider-kids should use it under adult supervision. It can pack a punch and you wouldn’t want it to shoot anyone’s eyes out (not even Doc Ock’s)

Breaks easily
This breaks easily. When you shoot it a lot, then the spring on the piece on the top of the gun comes off. The plastic just breaks off. When you take it apart as part of the normal functioning, there is a lot of grease on the parts. This only lasted about 2 hours, then went in the trash can. It looks like a fun toy, but it just doesn’t work and instead causes frustration.
