I purchased two pairs of these shin guards (x-small for 5 year old and small for 8 year old). My 8 year old does not like shin guards with ankle straps, but the ones that just slip in his sock move around too much and bother him. Because of this, we were really excited to find this pair (no ankle strap, but does have straps to hold it in place around the calves.) The actual shin guards seemed to be of good quality, and my kids said they felt comfortable on. Unfortunately, the top strap was very long, and would not close tightly enough for either kid. Because of this, I believe we will have to return them. If the straps were a little shorter and more adjustable, we would have definitely kept these! In terms of sizing, we went by the height chart. The x-small were very tiny (too small for my 5 year old). The small would have worked for both my 5 and 8 year old (both a little shorter than average) if not for the strap issue.

I’ve seen quite a few soccer shin guards and these are great! Extremely durable feeling with a nice cushion on the back-side. Really surprised by the quality for the price, too. I think my nephew will love these because they don’t have the ankle sturrip. Will definitely be recommending these...thanks!

Bought these for my boys and they love it! The Shin Guards have a tag so the strap doesn't itch or dig in their skin. Durable and comfortable. I would recommend these!

These run small. A 4yoncoukd easily do the small instead of the extra small. Comfort is ok but the guards are packaged poorly. They are nested into each other and then the straps are pulled so tight around them, it bends the one nested inside. It ends up not laying or fitting right. They damaged their own product with packaging. Will be returning.

My son is on the shorter side and these were perfect for him. They were comfortable priced well and durable. At times the Velcro bugged him on his skin but we just put socks under them. Regular youth shin guards don’t fit shorteR kids well, my son is able to bend his knees and ankles perfectly with these.

My son (11) loves these. And according to him “No more sweaty shins.”

these are really nice because my daughter doesn't like the straps underneath her foot and the inserts without the straps constantly fall out of her soccer socks. So these at least keep them in her socks with the straps around the back of her calves. It would be nice if the straps were a bit longer so you weren't at the very end of the velcro. I will definitely be getting some more pairs for her as backup and recommending them to her other soccer teammates

I got the XS for my 5yo. She's super petite and the size of the 3yo neighbor boy. The straps on these are ridiculously small. They look like they're made for a doll. I referenced the sizing graphic and she fell within mid-range for the XS sizing.
