The animals seem to like this as a treat. It is similar to everyday human peanut butter. It is a little more dry and thick than the stuff I eat. But, the animals haven’t seemed to be put off by the slight difference. It smells the same as the human products. I will put it on crackers or animal cookies when one the animals need a little boosting. It spreads fairly easily. It is product that I have used often and have had very few animals reject it.

Our very fussy eater German Shepherd Dog who we constantly have to work to keep weight on accepted this peanut butter as a treat. Our chow hound PomChi who is food protective got aggressive over it. I would say that the GSD's approval is the most significant since she will turn her nose up at pretty much anything and she did like this but the little guy getting aggressive is also his sign that this would be a high value treat in his world.I take both their reactions to mean it has a good flavor for a variety of dogs.

Can confirm that product is a bright orange like other reviews say, very odd. My dog would not even try this product and he is not a picky eater. He would just turn his head away when being offered. I snuck a small amount onto a treat for him so he tried it that way. The next morning, we woke up to a floor of diarrhea. This was the only change in his diet. I had such high hopes for this helping maintain a good diet. The biggest bummer is that it is NON REFUNDABLE. Buy at your own risk.

I really wanted this to work. I have a picky eater and the older she gets the worse she gets. I’ve got to find a way to get the proper amount of nutrients on her. She loves peanut butter so I thought this would be the answer. She won’t even try it. She sniffs it and looks at me like I’ve lost my mind. I even snuck it on one of the treats she actually likes and she never touched it. Two days later I threw it in the trash.

I have a 15 year old dog who has very few teeth and does not always eat enough.When we feel she needs a few more calories we give her some of this and its perfect because its not a pill she can spit back out!!

We have a chihuahua that needed more calories in his diet. This has been a great addition and gives him more nutrition!
