I've used plastic ones before but they always broke - this wooden one is not only lighter than you'd expect, to pack in a suitcase if you need to, but also angled perfectly for getting lotion onto my back. So pleased with it.

although the handle on this is long and strong enough, the application pad is hard plastic with no give in it at all. This would be great if your legs were perfectly rectangular but for normal curved legs; it doesn't rub in the cream but just "paints" it on the surface.I found it really useless. Disappointing for the price.

I like that there are no replacement pads/expense.It can be washed off. Works great!!

A diferencia de varias opiniones negativas que leí, me parece que es muy cómodo de usar, no lastima ni daña la piel, permite aplicar la cantidad de crema que se requiera: poca o más. Puedo alcanzar toda el área de mi espalda sin esfuerzo, aunque sí es necesario acostumbrarse a manejarlo, por el tamaño del mango y el volumen de la esponja. Los materiales parecen de buena calidad y creo que no es necesario sustituirlo cada tres meses, como dice el instructivo. La esponja es suave pero con la firmeza adecuada para su uso; y también me sirve como rascador de espalda!! Lo recomiendo mucho.

I purchased this to help put a muscle pain medication on my back that my doctor prescribed for me. Most of the time, I have someone who can help me in the evenings, but if I need pain relief from this prescription during the day, I had no way to apply it myself. It's hard to reach all the parts of your back alone, no matter how flexible you are, but when you're having back problems, it's even harder! I was skeptical that it would help or i"d be able to use it well enough to get any real relief from the back pain medication, but it does work!In fact, not only does it work well on the back, but it's not a bad applicator for using on other parts of the body that I can reach, but where I don't want to get the ointment or cream or rub or prescription drug on my hands while applying it. I put the medication on the pad, reach it over my shoulder to get my upper back and then apply more and put it behind my waist for the middle to lower back.While I can't get the pressure that I could if someone were rubbing it on with their hands, most medications and topical creams or lotions don't really require it to be rubbed in deeply--you just have to get it enough on the surface so it absorbs.So when I'm done, instead of washing it out--since I'm the only one who uses this--I just pop the applicator head back into the plastic baggy and close it up. That way, I'm not wasting any medication, the head stays saturated, and it's easier to apply the next time. If there is any excess that got on the handle, it's a nice, slick wooden handle, so I just wipe it off with a cloth and it's good to go.The head is soft but pliable, slightly absorbent, but not enough to suck up all your lotion or medication. It's soft, but also firm and it doesn't have any rough edges or seams that you can feel, so no scratches or pricks while trying to use it. The handle is wooden, and solid. It feels strong and of good quality.I'd definitely recommend this applicator if you're in a position like me to need it for medication application--or even if you just can't quite twist or turn to apply lotion or sun cream or anything else you need to get on your backside of your body. It's also good for elderly folks or people with mobility and chronic pain issues to help apply lotions and other topical things to the extremities without as much physical effort.I highly recommend this product and for the price, you can't beat the difference it's made in my pain levels and self-sufficiency.

I first purchased this lotion applicator for use on my back in July 2022. For such a simple item, with only two parts, it has provided amazing results. My back used to itch so much, but doesn't anymore.I liked it so well, that I purchased one for a friend who was experiencing dry skin on her back. Since using it, her dermatologist has complemented her on how much better her skin looks.I bought a fold-able lotion applicator for travel to save suitcase space. It was difficult to use and didn't provide the same results as this product. For future travels, you can bet that I'll find room in my suitcase for this lotion brush.I use a liquid lotion and spread it evenly over the pad. You don't need much to get good results. After each use, I use a liquid hand soap to clean off the pad and let it dry. The pad has held up great. You won't regret buying this simple but effective item.
