Perfect beginner set for a teen! My daughter is 11 and was easily able to set this up and work it. The mini size , along with the speeds are easily adjustable and compliment her smaller hands-the wheel rotates smoothly and the pedal is easy to use when needing to slow and stop the wheel. The tools are not much more than a dollar store quality - but work just fine for a beginner - if my daughter continues to keep the interest - a better quality set will likely be needed as these ones may not hold up too long. The starter clay it came with was easy to work with as well, still moiste and there was a good amount in each pack to practice some small trinket bowls.

I got this for my son for Christmas and it was the perfect choice. We were about to set it up quick and it had a pretty good spin to it. Love it!!!

Gave as a gift and it was perfect!! It was easy to use and clean! Kids had so much fun making beautiful creations!!

Bought for 9 y.o. as Christmas gift. He wasn't really interested in it so I returned. It looked reasonably good quality with a lot of extras included. Never turned it on though. Sorry.

Returning as it just seams not a sturdy and not for 10 year old, didn’t try it, just by appearance and weight!

I am amazed how well thought through this product is, it is very compact and has everything you need to get started and trying your hand at pottery! Its a real fun thing for kids, my kids immensely enjoyed using it and very excited with their creations. Its very compact, built with very good quality materials, the wheel is very stable and you can control the speed as you get the hang of it, its well priced for a starter kit and overall a great kit.
