A MUST HAVE for Heavy Rigs
WOW! This leveler is EXTREMELY high quality. The machining and materials are flawless, it works perfectly and is exactly as described (text and pictures). I'm using this leveler under a gimbal that weighs about 4 pounds, which sits on a tripod that weighs about 4 pounds, when when my Nikon D810 w/ power grip and a relatively heavy Nikon 80-400mm lens is mounted on the gimbal, well ... we're talking some serious weight here.Adjusting the legs on the tripod to level it is not only difficult, it's downright risky! This leveler takes ALL that risk away and as long as the ground is relatively flat, adjusting the level to get everything perfectly flat is quick and easy. If the ground is NOT level, I'll wait to mount the camera until after I've at least gotten close to level, by adjusting the tripod legs. Once that's done, I'll mount the camera and dial in level using the LP-68 leveler. If you're dealing with heavy stuff (tripod, gimbal and camera/lens combo) and trying to level it by adjusting the tripod legs, good luck keeping your camera and lens in one piece. The LP-68 is a GREAT addition to my setup, and I would NOT leave home without it.

Basic Leveling Head, but a bit stiff
Didn't need anything fancy, but something reliable and strong. Aluminum and brass for the primary bits, thick grease to damp the thumb screws, and 5 turns of freedom on all 3 points of contact. The triple levels are nice. I've sure others are easier to operate, but for the lack of weight, price, and degree of freedom, I'm perfectly happy with it. Might futz with the counter holds to make spinning a bit easier.

Works perfectly
I have a ball head on my tripod so you wouldn't think I need this. However, if I have a large (and heavy) lens on the camera it is almost impossible to level-up the ball head. This leveler does a GREAT job.

Works good for the price.
This is a good leveling base for the price. The bigger level fell out after only a few uses. Luckily it fell out in my truck and I found it back. I glued it back in today so hopefully it will stay this time. I find the little levels almost useless, I end up fine tuning it by placing a larger level on top before mounting my panoramic head.

Nice concept but low quality
Nice concept but two of the three legs were defective. Bubble levels were cheaply attached.
