Halter Bonbons Water Melon Sugar Free 40g (Pack of 16)

I LOVE Halter's Coffee flavor, so I decided to try Watermelon, too. It does not taste like Watermelon to me. Something is off; it tastes vaguely of mixed melons and/or berries (I should have seen elderberry and 'Natural Flavours' were ingredients)! More than anything they remind me of Jolly Ranchers, and I usually think of Halter's as a much better product. I use Halter's for medically-induced dry mouth, and I have no problem with alcohol sugars.

I was ecstatic when I received my order. They taste great, almost too good for sugarfree so I took a closer look at the ingredients. The nutritional facts & ingredients differ from what is shown in the product listing. For example look closely at the picture I provided. There is no serving size or calorie information. It clearly states "98g there from sugar". It also includes "100g contain energy" which doesn't elaborate but I would assume that would be some sort of caffeine. The ingredients on the boxes I received state it includes melon juice concentrate & elderberry juice concentrate. Very disappointed.

These are great. I was hesitant; since I'm picky with my watermelon candy and needed to go towards the sugar free side. SO GLAD I DID. I'll have to try their other flavors.

PLEASANT WATERMELON TASTE. IT'S NOT A STRONG WATERMELON TASTE BUT IT IS A GOOD MILD TASTE WITHOUT THE AFTER TASTE OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH SUGAR FREE CANDY.

I've never found anything "watermelon" that actually has that cool watermelon taste, but this is pretty good and it's certainly convenient to just pop in a candy and I like that. I did think that it was going to be soft candy instead of the usual hard "drops" but like it all the same. It's difficult to find a good variety of sugar-free items locally and I'm glad this seller offered this product on Amazon.
