Super versatile. The ideal gardening tool!
This is my new favorite gardening tool. Really great for weeding and edging or plowing trenches for hiding irrigation lines. It's like the ideal shape with a sharp point and a sharp edge that was able to cut through roots even, so like a sharp hoe, but then it's at the same time like a spade that you can flatten or move the soil after the hoeing. The tool really seems hand forged and the steel part seems good quality and strong yet light. It's good that the steel seems to go all the way through the handle, but the wood seems a bit low quality, not like hardwood but some kind of softer type, and is not treated, so I treated it myself, that would be the only complaint.

Hand made the old way school
A hand forged garden tool plow. Great price and quality. Heat treated 5160 spring steel. This would cost at least twice as much if it was made in USA. Everybody should have at least one old school forged garden tool.! It should last a lifetime. I used it for weeding my yard and worked great. However, it needs the handle coated with oil or something. I used some old organic flax seed oil on the handle . It does need to be sharpened as well No big deal. You can dig garden furals, weed, scape ground cover and its light but strong. It has that old antique look that I love . I would like to see this company to make other garden tools. Made with fire and hammer, how cool is that. You won't be disappointed.

Great for getting the root
The media could not be loaded. Easy to use and is sharp enough to penetrate the dirt and curved to pull up the root of many deeply rooted plants. Awesome choice and I’m very happy with it.

Excellent gardening tool!
As soon as this hand hoe arrived I could tell it was worth it. It has a nice heft and balance and the blade is solid. I break a lot of hand tools because they're just not sturdy enough, that will not happen to this one. I used it right away going out into the Maine woods to plant ramps (wild leeks). I was breaking through roots and partially frozen soil with ease. It took a few minutes to get the hang of the angle of the blade. Once I figured out that the point is for cutting and the side is for "plowing" or pulling things aside it worked much better. I've used it a couple of times since to plant other early things in different soils. It's too early for weeding, but my guess is this will be the perfect tool for that as well. This tool is definitely worth the purchase!

This thing is AWESOME.
Me: The perfect gardening tool doesn't exist.South Korea: Hold my Hite. This thing arrived wrapped excessively well, looking like a medieval torture device. I was both excited and scared, but the reviews promised amazing results. THEY WERE NOT LYING.This thing cuts trenches in densely weed-ridden perimeters like a hot ginsu through hot butter on the surface of the sun. I dug drainage trenches along a 125ft retaining wall and about 90 feet of fence in less time than it usually takes me to find my car keys.Bonus, this thing can be used for so many things! Carving giant wedding cakes, fending off aggressive cat-callers, removing man-buns in one swipe before they even know what hit them...Endless possibilities!Bottom line: BUY THIS. You won't regret it.

Well made but different function than expected
I thought this tool was beautiful and worth the price. I think it is better suited for left handed use and isn't intended to be a weeder as traditionally used in the west. It is more of a slam the point down and pry style. Well made. I do think it would work better if it were made to be sharpened. More versatile that way. Mine was intentionally left with about a millimeter of blunted steel. Cool item. Also wish it were flat edged instead of dished so it could be sharpened easier, but I see that a lot in eastern tools.

This review is about 2 yrs late...
But I realized that this purchase on a whim has been one of the best ones I ever made as it has become my go-to garden tool. This Korean hand plow is not only very sturdy but also very versatile as it is a very efficient and effective weeder, a very useful tiller for small flower beds. It can also be used as a kind of small rake for smoothing ground that has been turned over etc... Working my beds I realized that I basically needed this one tool for most activities. Efficient, effective and versatile! Cannot ask for more!

Farmer's engaged in manual harvesting and tending know something about working the soil...
Hand forged steel, authentic S. Korean garden implement. Fantastically affordable. Great hand tool for weeding, grubbing, cultivating, aerating, and creating seed furrows on the pull stroke. The angle and hook design of the head engages the use your upper arm: biceps and triceps. Minimal twisting of the forearm or wrist, no jamming or pushing on the soft tissue in the palm of your hand. Highly recommended. I'm sure you've spent more money on more useless implements...give this tool a try.
