I have 5 of these tunics and I wear them 5 days out of every 7
I have 5 of these tunics in size XXL; I'm 5'4" and 216 lbs (today, anyway).Yellow (bought 6/21), two in White (bought 7/21 and 8/21), green (3/22), and another yellow (8/22).I wear them five days out of every seven, no joke.Backstory: my sister-in-law introduced me to the Mordenmiss brand. She has a couple dresses and tunics from them, and sang their praises. I ordered a few different styles from Mordenmiss, to get an idea of sizing. What I found even more important than sizing was the fabric.I get hot pretty easily, and this particular tunic is the ONLY one I found from Mordenmiss that has super light and comfortable fabric. SO comfortable. It is THE most comfortable thing I own, which is why I kept shelling out $25-30 per blouse, which is otherwise generally above my "internal barometer of what I am willing to pay for a daily/casual shirt".Other Mordenmiss pieces? Either the cotton fabric ended up being heavier than I liked, or it was a slightly clingy jersey, which again made me hot. I live in the SF Bay Area- a pretty temperate area. And, honestly, I always run hot. THIS PARTICULAR TUNIC = it will keep you airy and cool and comfortable. The cons: well, the high-low design is a bit much. Too much "high"! I included a side-view, so you can see how much it rises. Plus, if you're not super particular about fabric care- which, I'm not ... I run it on cold wash and then, um, high heat in the dryer- the front hem rumples and curls, and then you lose even more length in the front. My husband asked, "is it SUPPOSED to look like that?" and was always tugging down the front. I guess he suffered a bit of secondhand embarrassment if I exposed my midriff.CUSTOMIZATION ALERT, i.e. this will probably not apply to you:So, then, this is what I did: I ordered "Home Sewing Depot Lead Free Sausage Bead Weight, Fabric Covered, 3/32", 6 YD Pack" from Amazon, and spent 30 minutes per shirt ... sewing the weight into the front hem. This kept the front of the shirt down, although I lost at least 0.5" length to rolling the hem. It kind of did the job; I shrugged and said "eh, good enough!" and went on wearing the shirts. Some time later, I had another Bright Sewing Idea. (I get these frequently, but my execution is usually sloppy, and they're usually not as awesome as I think they will turn out.) I decided to unpick the weights from the hem, and instead sew ribbon on instead. My reasoning was that the ribbon would give a little bit of stiff backing to the front hem, and prevent it from curling/rolling up. Plus, it turns out that having lead weights constantly tugging down on the fabric was ... damaging the fabric. Who would have thought. So I bought "PH PandaHall 5 Colors Jacquard Ribbon Trim, 35mm/1.37" Woven Embroidery Trim Fabric Trim Fringe with Leaves Gift Wrapping Belts for Embellishment Decorations Sewing Clothing Crafts, 5 Yard Total " and asked my drycleaner if she'd sew the ribbon onto the hem. She thinks I'm crazy, but humors me, so it's all good. So far I've paid $12 per tunic (bringing the total cost to $25 for the tunic, $2 for the ribbon, $12 for the professional sewing = almost $40 per tunic) to get the ribbon sewn on by someone who actually knows how to operate a sewing machine. And my Artistic Sewing Vision came true. The ribbon gets me an inch of length, and stiffens the front hem just enough so it's not constantly rolling/curling up. I'll add photos of my Lunatic Ribbon Hack so you know what I'm talking about.Bottom line: I'm giving these 5-stars. Because, I mean, I wear one or the other every. single. day. The fabric is INSANELY breathable and comfortable. The design is "modest" enough where it gives coverage, you know? Like, there's a bit of a cleavage-vee, but honestly, you're not showing much. And the sleeves are kind of what I think of as "scrub" length, and doesn't hug your upper arm.I wish it came in more colors. I think, because of the nature of the tone-on-tone embroidery, lighter colors look better? Like, I had originally purchased the dark charcoal grey, and ended up returning it. Wasn't a particularly flattering color. I swear, Mordenmiss, if you can make these in lighter shades ... a pale aqua? A cream? A beige? A faded red? I will buy every. last. one. - AM SIL

great shirt but too long for linen
this shirt fits nicely and I love the color and the fabric. but I found that because it's linen, the bottom got very wrinkled as soon as I sat down. I ended up making it shorter to hip length so I could still tuck it in if I wanted to. now it's just right!

I wish Chinese sizes were adjusted for the American market!
What can I say?? I read the reviews, saw they ran small, and decided it was so cute I'd take a chance. Yes, indeed, it's a really cute shirt. It appears well made for the price and the linen seems decent quality...I suspect it will get soft and comfy once washed a few times. However, you REALLY need to order two sizes up - possibly more if like things loose fitting. And itsn't that the point of these flowing summer linen blouses; to be loose and comfy? Unfortunately, I'm an XL so ordering two up isn't an option, so back it went.I ordered other styles from this brand, Mordonmiss, and the same is true of all that I received - too small by at least two sizes. It's a shame, because their stuff is adorable and if they'd adjust for American curves, they'd make a ton of money over here!

Beautiful and comfortable
This top is absolutely gorgeous!!! I normally wear a US woman’s large and I purchased the large and it fits perfectly. I’m 5’5” & 160lbs with a 43 in bust D cup. I believe it’s important to list sizes for others that purchase. This can be dressed up or worn casual with jeans. I’m purchasing more in other colors.Update: I purchased another color and love it as much!!!

Fabric description is wrong
I bought the navy blue top, very nice color. However, I promptly returned the top. This top is NOT linen, as stated in the description of the material. The tag on the inside of the top states 100% Cotton. This is not a linen top.

Not real linen - 100% cotton
The blouse fits well according to the sizing chart, the color is beautiful and the fabric is natural and breathable, BUT it was advertised and described as 100% linen. It is NOT linen. Linen is made from Flax fibers. This is 100% cotton. If you are looking for cotton, this is a nice looking blouse. I was specifically searching for real linen, as it has some benefits that cotton doesn't. I kept this because it was at least well-fitting and natural fiber, but because they misled their customers with wrong advertising on the fabric they used in the product, I'm not going to be ordering more from them.Updated: the back side of the embroidery is itchy and rough on my skin. I will probably find a creative liner or something. It is pretty but not very comfortable and I don't wear it as often as I thought I would.

100% Linen and loose fit I like
Once I bought an XL white linen shirt from a different vendor. It was the same design and price, but I bought their last stock. I really like the 100% linen and found this vendor that sells various colors. I bought 3 more different colors of the shirts. This store's size was different from the other. When I bought XL, it was too big. L size was correct. Make sure to read their size chart before purchase. There are two size charts, and the lower "New" size chart is the correct one. The bust size 45".I made about 4 inches of side slits, and cut the back length same as the front of the shirts. It perfectly fit with my style afterwards. The color of dark gray shirt is brown as shown as the photograph. Both the brown and light blue colors are actually prettier tones than their pictures. I have not received dark blue yet, and I look forward to it.Overall, it is 5 star quality.
