Good function at a great value
Edit: After two months of casual use, the joystick no longer works moving in the right direction. I am hoping Cipon can replace this product or issue a refund, even though it is past the refund period.***I am a very casual gamer who needed a Gamecube controller to play Gamecube games on the Wii. I tried another third party controller first, and was very disappointed by its unresponsive buttons and drifting joystick. This Cipon controller is world's better. Sure, it probably doesn't compare to the quality of the original Nintendo controller. But official Nintendo Gamecube controllers are much more expensive--and keep in mind, almost all of them available on the market is used, meaning you have no idea what condition yours will be in when you buy one. On the other hand, this is a new controller. The joystick is tight. The buttons are responsive (albeit a little too clicky for my liking). The L and R buttons are appropriately pressure sensitive (on the other brand I tried, they were limp).I know that longevity and durability are always a concern with third party controllers. Since I've only owned this one for weeks, I can't speak to its durability. But for casual gamers who don't need anything out of the ordinary--just a controller that works like it is supposed to--it should get the job done just fine. If you're on the fence, try it.

A Surprisingly High Quality Controller
Growing up with a gamecube, I couldn't tell you how many hours I put into that console. So many memorable games! Super Mario Sunshine, F-Zero GX, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil, Lost Kingdoms, Eternal Darkness, the list goes on and on. And having acquired an old gamecube from my parents' attic, I wanted to be able to revive it and play some of those classics once again. The only controller that was in the box though was a pretty mangly looking 3rd party controller, and honestly didn't work that well. That's where I hopped onto Amazon to see what I could find for GameCube controllers. I stumbled across this one and was a bit apprehensive at the price. And also at it being a third party controller due to the mixed results I'd had with non-Nintendo controllers. But after having receiving it, I am quite impressed with the quality of the controller. All the buttons feel great and the joysticks don't feel flimsy at all. It plays great and really takes me back. About the only button that could be better is the Start button. That thing feels a bit squishy and cheap. But I can forgive that as it's not a button I'm going to mashing when playing Super Smash Brothers Melee. Overall, this is an excellent controller and I may have to consider getting another one at some point for multiplayer.

Issues
Over all its a pretty good controller for a third party company. My main issues with it are: it feels cheap, and there's no rumble. I know with most off brand things you're not going to get the same quality but this feels like one of Nintendo wired pro controllers with its plastic. For most people rumble isn't a huge issue but I like having the feedback when playing Smash, that I got hit or hit someone. Without rumble it almost feels like you're watching someone else play and just moving with them.

Excellent Customer Service and a Quality Product
When I first bought the controller; the control stick felt quite a bit more sensitive than a GameCube controller should feel; plus there was input delay with the buttons. Fortunately for me the Customer Service reps were diligent in getting a hold of me and replaced the controller free of charge. I have had the NEW controller for two days now and I can happily say that the buttons are fully responsive and the control stick is nowhere *near* as sensitive as before. Aside from the obvious weight and some of the buttons not having the same texture as a normal GameCube controller; I can barely tell the difference. I highly recommend these controllers for those looking to replace and if you get a bum controller do not worry; you *will* be taken care of.

Just like the originals!
I have had a couple different brands of non-nintendo Gamecube controllers, and this is by far my favorite. It feels just like original one and works without any problems. The only noticable difference between this and the nintendo controllers is that this one is a little lighter and you can tell the plastic is a bit thinner, but it works perfect, feels great, and you can't beat the price.

Controller is great for budget, but you might have to buy the official one later on
This was my first gamecube controller and when I bought it I was on a budget, it felt great and I was able to play melee with no troubles. But after 3 months with this controller it has started to bug out, it randomly stops reading my inputs and I have to wait a few seconds before I can even do anything. Overall, really good controller, but if you have the money, get the official one.

5 star customer support
Edit: Customer service is incredible with this brand. While it is not the same quality as a first party controller, it is still worthy of five stars for customer service alone. The controller is a solid alternative to higher priced options. To begin with, the controller feels incredibly similar to the GameCube controller, and if you intend to only occasionally use this controller it is perfect. I believe that if used for casual games no issue will be found with these controllers. However, I bought mine as a way to play Smash Bros. Which I assume is why many buyers have searched for cheaper 3rd party options, and I must say my controller did not survive the test. The only issue I ran in to involved the the left control stick no longer functioning properly. One day it just started clicking and no longer accepts inputs to the right. I was deeply disappointed because this controller was so close to being the perfect alternative to used or expensive GameCube controllers.

Great product for price
Good quality not cheaply made. Plays better then the original one I have. Will order more for sure as it’s affordable

Fresh vs used to.
While playing Gamecube for 18 years, the controller works great as a fresh controller. Buttons seem more tighter when pressed and the left trigger isn't worn in as a 18 year old controller but works great for what you need it for.

Great controller especially for the price!
It takes a bit of time to get used to but once you do it's a very good controller.

Excellent value; poorly built
I tried this controller on both Dolphin and the Gamecube ports on a Wii. On Dolphin I had to manually configure it, for some reason the default for a standard GC controller wasn't working properly. Once set up everything works except the rumble feature, which I thought was simply lacking. When I tried it on the Wii/GC it turns out there is rumble and it works well, but that's where you can tell this is a cheap controller. The vibration makes a strong noise unless you're holding the controller tight, as plastic seems too thin or the connection between the front and back is not strong enough. Game play is not affected though. As for the joystick and buttons, I am very impressed, it has a good and satisfying "click" and buttons bounce back properly. One big issue however, after a few hours of play the left joystick gets stuck in the upward position. After investigation there is not enough tolerance in the plastic shell and the bottom of the sphere puts pressure on the shell and the friction keeps the joystick up. I guess I was unlucky as I haven't seen any other comment, but it makes some of the games impossible to play. The logo is really ugly as you can tell from the picture. The cord is fairly thin and looks cheap, again it doesn't affect game play at all.Overall I am very happy with this controller for the price I paid.
