Great for securing the walls on the shed down
So we were building a shed and it's in a pretty windy area now we used hurricane ties on the roof but I wanted to make sure because the shed was only 8 ft wide and 15 ft long that it was going to be secured so I bought these I'm happy with them it's going to work and I think that there was enough for me to be able to actually have a second project so when I do my woodshed I'm going to do the same thing. We drove him down into the ground it was relatively easy it hasn't been tested yet and a big storm but I pulled up on that cable and it is secure and we have really hard soil I didn't think it was going to go in but driving it down with a small sledgehammer it worked

Anchors.
I used them to hold down my mini barn.

Not perfect but does work for hard rocky soil
I am trying to anchor a swingset, and I tried those screw in ground anchors and the soil in my yard is so hard and rocky it was impossible to get them to go in more than like 4 inches before they would hit a rock and be impossible to turn. These can be hammered in, then pry up the driver bar, and pull up on the cable and the wings bite in pretty well. I was able to get these to go a good 2 foot down. The driver bar takes some effort to yank back out, and I had to clean up the threads with a tap to assemble the thing in the first place, but they do in fact work, which is more than i can say for others i have bought.

Heavy duty!
I haven't used this ground anchor yet but I did look at it and read the instructions that came with it. We get a lot of wind in the winter and I have a very tall sculpture that I made that sits in the yard. I usually take it down and lie it on it's side in the winter because i am so afraid it is going to fall over and damage something. My plan is to attach the ground anchors to it so that I can leave it in year-round. I think this will work as it looks very strong. I will have to update this review once I use it and see if it really works as well as I think it's going to.

Impressive!
I have used other brands of ground anchor in the past, including the original “duck bill” brand and I find them extremely useful. I will admit that I was skeptical of the design of this, which uses to flexible wings, and seems to have a larger frontal area, which I thought would make it hard to pound in my rocky clay soil. To my surprise, it was relatively easy to pound this in using a 2 pound hand sledge, and the included driving rod. I am using these to anchor wood and brush in a stream bed as part of a stream restoration project and I had no problems driving it into the rocky stream bed. As with all of these style anchors, you need to pull up hard on the anchor to lock it into place. The one surprising part with this one is that it pulled up 8 inches or more before it locked. So, when you are using these you need to drive them 8 to 10 inches further into the ground then the ultimate location as they will pull out about that far before they lock. In terms of how it holds, I certainly could not budge it by hand so safe to say it would take several hundred pounds of force. Between the Excellent price and how heavy duty these ground anchors are, I would put them in the highly recommended category!

These are one time use cable anchors. They are not removable without digging a deep hole.
They are simple to use. The drive pole fits into the end of the anchor, pound the anchor into the soil at whatever angle is the final pull angle. Go as deep as you can. Pull out the drive rod, attach to the cable end. Done.I’ve been having the spring weather blow over some big potted fig trees. Not anymore. I use 3 anchors driven deep, carabiners, rope, and tree straps (ASIN B09YQ6XS1P).I’m about to put up a shade canopy, and I’ll use these to hold it down in the wind.In the past, I’ve used screw in plate anchors for stainless orchard cables in the nursery. I’m going to be trying these anchors in a few weeks.

Lighter than expected
These ground anchors are lighter than expected. The quality seems to be well otherwise, but it would be better if they would feel more heavy duty. They would work well for a tent or similar structure, but I would not trust them this a shed as advertised. They are not very expensive so if you need to keep down some light duty structure like a tent then this set will work just fine and I would recommend it, but do not buy it to keep down something like a shed.

So far, so good.....
Installed these a while back to anchor down an easy-up canopy that I park my lawnmower under. We've experienced a couple of strong winds and they seem to be holding up well. A good option to consider on Amazon if you're in the market.
