I love our showerhead. Every time we replace the filter in our shower it seems to really make a difference. My skin feels better and the pressure in the showerhead is stronger too. I really feel like the water is just better in general.

I wasn’t sure how much of a difference a showerhead would make until I switched to Afina filtered showerhead. After installing it in my Afina showerhead, the water felt noticeably smoother and less harsh on my skin and hair. I’ve struggled with dry skin and flaky scalp for a while and this filter helped reduce that after showers. My skin feels less dry throughout the day and my hair isn’t as brittle or frizzy as it used to be.

I love it! Changing the filters out is very easy. It does leak when changing the old one out because it holds water inside of it.

These filters helped reduce acne and hair breakage. My girlfriend can have pretty bad break outs but feels like has helped in reducing them. We’ve have been using the filters for 5 months now. Sometimes the shower head is hard to open for replacement but otherwise no complaints. Didn’t impact water flow.

he Afina A-01 Replacement Filter fits well with my Afina Filtered Showerhead and appears well-made. However, considering the price, I am unsure whether the quality of this filter fully justifies the cost. While I don’t have a direct way to compare it with similar filters from other manufacturers for this showerhead, the materials and construction give me some pause. The casing is polymer, and the filter media is held in place by stainless steel screens on each end. This design appears solid, but only time will reveal its actual performance and durability. One minor but curious detail is a circular pattern of printed dots on the side of the cartridge. Before it arrived, I assumed these were functional holes or vents, but they’re just a printed design with no clear relevance. A more significant issue, though, is the lack of clear directional markings. If Afina can print a decorative pattern, it would be far more useful to add an arrow to indicate the correct direction of water flow. With most consumer filters requiring specific orientation, this omission could easily lead to an installation error that affects the filter’s performance or longevity. If this filter is indeed omnidirectional, it should be clearly stated to avoid confusion. For now, the filter is functioning, but I’d be disappointed if it fails prematurely due to a simple, preventable installation error. Adding a straightforward "↑" or "↓" would make installation much more reliable and give peace of mind that the filter is set up correctly.

We have really hard water like it’s so hard we will not drink it. Whites turn orange even when washed in bleach. It’s just really bad. We have a whole home water filter that we change out every 2-3 weeks. Our water pressure in the shower gets really bad when these filters are full and that’s how we know it’s time to change it out. They really do work at filtering out the icky crap
